The ending was ruined by jackass spammers so I have no interest in playing the game - it is mostly about the suspense of not knowing who the Origami killer is and not so much the gameplay.
All I care about is better more responsive controls, way better story, and no hit delay in SP or MP - take a page out of Red Dead Redemption's book for lessons on hit detection and response.
More MS marketing hyperbole, it's probably good but it's just another Halo game, nothing revolutionary.
Replace Alan Wake with Red Dead Redemption and you will have the last four games I bought this year.
Good list but the top sequel that improved nothing if CALL OF DUTY MODERN WARFARE 2 - the SP was way worse than MW4, and the MP is missing something special that 4 had, maybe it's too easy to attack from the air now and combo people without actually shooting them.
Good, I'm not at all interested in those types of games anymore. If anything they should just make a Twisted Metal Black HD.
They look pretty much the same with the 360 version looking better, but they are very similar - the differences have been greatly exaggerated - I was expecting Bayonetta type differences.
It pretty much looks exactly the same as gears 2 graphically.
From all the stuff I heard, I thought the PS3 version would be vastly inferior like Bayonetta. From the vids the differences are very minor and not substantial like so many sites have posted (except for trusted review sites that said virtually identical, or didn't mention anything at all). If 360 had a 9.5 in graphics, PS3s would have a 9 - no big deal for me. Anyways, I got the 360 version cause my friend did, if he got the PS3 one I would have got that one instead regardless for MP - ...
I would have but someone on GT spammed the identity of the Origami killer and ruined the game for me. Too bad to too, I heard it was really good.
The R2 and L2 buttons should be more like triggers and the analog sticks need to be concave, my finger always slips off when playing NHL10. Also, a bit more tension in the analogs would be better. So yes, Sony should 'upgrade' the existing design - they should do it now and not wait for PS4.
Oh look, a flamer story by The bald, fat, and ugly.
It's called freedom of expression. There're a bunch of movies set in real world current war settings, one even won an Oscar, why should videogames be any different. Personally, I find constantly fighting the Russians as more of a public relations issue as it demonstrates that Americans still consider them their primary enemy - Russians everywhere should be complaining. It's obvious that America isn't being terrorized by Russians, its terrorists groups primarily from Afghan ...
I like the articles idea, but disagree completely with the list. I think any level in Halo 3 where your constantly fighting the flood is the most annoying
At least the whole debacle serves as an example for CEO's for how not to treat their cash cow game developers. Heads should role at the executive level (Kotick) of Activision - MW3 won't duplicate MW2s success or even come close. That being said, I think it's a lose-lose situation because RESPAWN likely won't duplicate IW past successes either.
The answer is not MP, it's knowing what type of game you want to make. No one cares about mediocre MP combined with a mere 6 hr SP campaign. Dev's need to focus on one instead of trying to put everything including the kitchen sink in every game. If you want to focus on MP do it and release a short coherent SP story, or forgo MP and make a 15-30 hr quality SP. No one really plays tacked on MP or wants to spend 60 bucks on a 6hr SP games. They can play better MP in MW2, BFBC2, etc....
Another successful irrational argument by a pseudo-journalist to attract attention.
agreed, but SP still needs work.
Excellent, I haven't played MW2 since I got BFBC2. In fact I thought I was losing interest in FPS multiplayer, but it turns out it was just COD. I got tired of spawning only to getting 8 hit combo'd from a barrage of random air attacks
All I need is great SP OR great MP, definitely not both and it seems that excelling in one is to the detriment of the other. For MP I'm happy with one or two games (BFBC2 and MW2), I'd prefer if companies can't do MP better than the best, then just focus all the resources on SP. Not a lot of people play mediocre MP for very long.
