Blu-rays don't scratch very easily, especially from mere dust. I can wipe a Blu-ray vigorously and the disk will remain pristine, my 360 games on the other hand always have numerous minor scratches despite treating them with the utmost care.
It's not a huge deal though, my old Xbox1 used to burn rings in my disk and they still worked.
Yeah the story went the wrong direction in terms of tone as well. Gears one was cool with humour and seriousness, Gears 2 story seems like it was made for pre-teens.
There's a point when "E" for effort is still a fail - like when all the effort doesn't fix very much. The game's MP is broken that's all I get from trying for 3 years.
Bungie is certainly a great developer, I surprisingly love Reach but they're not the only high quality independent dev.
One of the best games this gen IMO. I'm worried about them putting MP in DS2, the game doesn't really need it and may detract from the quality of SP.
I only have 30 gigs a month, so assuming games next gen are around 15 gigs I can get 2 games a month but not use them online or use my internet at all.
I don't care for 3D either...you should have ended you comment there cause most of the so called "PS3 fanboys" probably would have agreed.
I have PS3 and 360 and don't want 3D if it in any way sacrifices the quality of non-3D. I don't even want devs spending valuable time implementing 3D when they could be tweaking the 2D graphics.
He's very right. I don't want to sacrifice FPS for better textures even. Or AA.
I say make a game look as good as possible up until the point the graphical negatively effect how it runs. Every game can and should run smooth with no jaggies, if it can't lower the details.
I bought Gears 2 launch day. Gears 3, if I buy it will be much after that and f what reviewers say, not one of them mentioned that the MP was broken.
Gears 2 has the worst MP ever, it still can take forever to find a match. Gears 2 is Epic's epic fail.
I'm fine with not releasing a new console for few years but they should start allowing devs to make games that require a hard drive installation and stop making HD less consoles.

I love endings where after the game is "done" there's a bit more gameplay so in a sense you "play" the ending as well as watch it. Kind of like Red Dead Redemption.

It's true, Sport Champions look isn't suited to the type of game (casual party game). It should be more bright and colourful - it looks too dull.
I disagree the textures are pretty great and detailed up close. My only problem with the graphics is the poor excuse for motion blur that gives a constant and terrible ghosting effect.
I think the motion blur sucks, it just looks like ghosting.
It's probably the worst motion blur I've ever seen. But I love the game.
I'm surprised the say this but Reach deserves it, the game is like crack - both SP and MP. I don't know why either, the story isn't amazing (actually fairly lacking) and the MP seems very basic compared to BFBC2 but I can't stop playing!
