I've had both and better voice chat and messaging/invites isn't worth 60 bucks a year. Yes, that is the ONLY thing Live does better so playing games online in terms of connection speed and lag are exactly the same. A big rip-off just got bigger, but go on sheeple, keep paying.
All the PS3 hate and going the entire generation being to scared to make Half-Life 3 essentially saying F U to their fans that would like to see what happens with the story.
Next gen Sony will probably have a mandatory charge b/c their service is nearly on par with Live now and is definitely equal in terms of connection speed and lag aka playing MP games. But M$ will probably be more expensive and has much fewer exclusive games and no Bungie.
I guess all MP will be on PS3 now, that makes Reach and Gears 3 a rental for me. And before you call me poor, I probably make more money than a lot of you do - it's the principle.
It's not worth it with PS3 and PC offering virtually the same service free. Better voice chat and messaging or a brand new AAA game a year?? Hmmm, I like games more than marginally faster MP invites and voice quality. FU M$
It would have been better to redesign the d-pad (which is the only thing the PS3 controller does better) when they launched the slim.
It because MS only made 1 billion off Live last year when they really wanted 1.2 billion.
Throw Gears 2 MP and Alpha Protocol on there.
If it was being developed as an exclusive it would look better on PS3.
I say this because I've been heavy into my 360 games all summer since I got my 360 S, then I decided to pop in Uncharted 2 today and 360 games graphically don't come close.
I'm sure Reach will be an awesome game but graphically it's not up to par with PS3 exclusives.
In terms of bundles, 360 won't compete. "PS3 - NOW with free Blu-ray player and online!"
I just hope they change the look of the Zune market place. All that grey and black are depressing. AND get rid of the sphere at the bottom of the screen that takes up half of your background.

Replace Alan Wake with Mass Effect 1&2. AW is good but not great and only deserved a rental.
Um I wouldn't pay more than 4.99 per month for any game, unless that games is free - then I'd pay no more than 7.99.
So MS gives us a bunch of crap we don't use and arbitrarily charges us for it??? That's like going to a store to buy a game and having no choice but to pay extra for a game guide.
Facebook and twitter suck on 360 because of typing on the controller, I rather just use my PC.
Netflix is free everywhere else
