It's good that Bungie has finished making Halo games. The series gameplay formula was holding back their creativity; they couldn't mess around with the gameplay too much without upsetting the millions of Halo fans. A new series will allow them to finally innovate again.
I think Reach is great but it's feels old school.

You do realize that most of those franchises currently still exist and no one cares about them. I see now that the N4G community's interest doesn't represent the larger gaming community world wide..

Poor Japanese developers, they have no market in Japan and don't understand the western market...with the exception of a few great devs (Kojima, Shinji Mikami)
If so, Sony's never going to catch up this gen. Too bad too, I have both and think in most departments PS3's the better of the two.

I've owned every sega console ever released except for 32X and say PLEASE DON'T release anymore consoles. Sega would get owned.....again.
360 monthly total sales have been significantly more than PS3 since the slim launched, before that PS3 total sales were consistently beating 360 this year. I have both systems and don't know why consumers are picking 360 over PS3, was a redesign that important? They still play the same games.
Kinect is not a gaming system, it's a peripheral....actually it's a controller. Maybe it will be the fastest selling controller in history but it's definitely not a console.
I hope they fixed the combat and climbing - they should emulate Batman AA and Uncharted 2 respectively.
I didn't think it would beat GOW3, that game is incredible - once you start playing you can't stop.
Not every game needs MP, in fact most don't. Ahem Dead Space 2...
Give me a 20-30 hour SP with incentive to play again (good story) over MP any day. All people will do is try it out then go back to CoD, BFBC2, Reach or some other shooter based game.
I'd give up the hope of having U2, GOW3 or K2 graphics on 360 cause it's never going to happen. That being said, you don't need to have the best visuals to have an amazing game.

Are you working for the big three? Why wouldn't you want that, oh I forgot it not about the gamers it's about making sure the companies profit.
It would also extend the life of PS3 as new games would still be released on it for the next 5-6 years. They don't make much money on selling consoles but they do on people buying games.
We won't, we have to pay more for everything and still get less. We pay 20bucks for 1400 MS points while you guys at most pay 20 bucks for 1600. And amazon.com always has deals for Live accounts and MS points but amazon.ca almost never does and the rare time that there is a deal, it's only like a dollar off.
It didn't take long to make Uncharted 2, and it looked vastly superior to Uncharted 1. It's all economics: companies would need to make 2 engines if they made one that maximizes the PS3's capabilities because that engine wouldn't work at all on 360. Making one engine that works best on 360 will also work on PS3 but not vice versa.
