Heavenly Sword 2 would have easily sold 2 mill - and probably have looked incredible.
And Heavenly Sword 1 was a much better game, gameplay and story-wise. Ninja Theory is digressing.
Great sales don't necessarily translate to a great game, just look at Wii Sports - it's fun for 30mins but it's definitely not a AAA game.
This whole "the better the sales, the better the game quality" mentality must stop. It just means that the game is tailored to the lowest common denominator.
I got fed up with MW2 after a month, it was less shooting and more automated death from above.
Yes, when people grow tired of COD and Halo and realize that they don't really like anything else.
I hate it, small children will love it.
Baldness is no joke - it's like being disfigured, one strand at a time until you're 2 point's less attractive.
...but I lol'd anyway.
That was awesome!
...and scripted.
Won't work unless cable companies get on board. I just got Netflix on my PS3 and went 10gigs($20) over my 60 gig limit in under 3 weeks.
Going purely digital won't work unless cable companies give people a terabyte a month for nearly the same price they're paying now. But why would cable companies do that, it would make internet TV far too attractive and cost them their cable business.
Physical media is here for a while longer.
AI, and death animation/reaction is poor - it's the only reason I'm not a fan. Devs should look to Red Dead for cool/semi-realistic reactions to getting shot - it's the best I've seen.
I finish all the games I keep (which is 90%) - if a game doesn't motivate me to finish it then I trade it in. Why keep a game I don't want to play.
They shouldn't use the Reach engine, it's not very good for graphics (framerate problems, ghosting, terrible motion blur) Reach was fun regardless of the engine problems.
Naughty Dog and Guerilla...
Infamous 1 was definitely one of my favs this gen.
Halo 1, Reach didn't really have a story, just mission objective communicated via cut scenes.
DVD is really limited but I don't thinks its a valid excuse for a 4-6 hr game.
And if your game is SP only learn how to make a really compelling story for replay value.
I liked Bayonetta's a lot but the story and music made the game worse
I know I rag Kinect all the time but now I'm concerned that if it fails, the shareholders will put an end to MS games division. They are already fed up with the billions in losses. Kinect sux but 360 is great - I'd hate for MS to leave the console business.
Imagine MS spent just 200 million on new AAA IPs, just IMAGINE the awesomeness!
Now I'll go cry at reality
Cliff Bleszinski Wishes He Made Bayonetta's (gameplay)...
No one would wish they had any part in that story and music.
These types of practices assure me that Kinect won't be reviewed poorly - no one will risk losing a part of that 500 million in advertising. Shame on any company that does this and even more shame on the review sites.
