One reason I care is because of the potential for a bigger install base. With a bigger install base, devs are more likely to make games for the console and put more money into them. I think its actually obvious...maybe other people just need to think for a few more seconds!
...Because PS3 exclusives look better...If you're buying a console for multiplat games then you are retarded, most games now have only subtle differences between games. the only ones who argue over the differences are people that want to stir up sh!t. Hell, I have orange box for the PS3 and I have to say it's not bad at all; if people hadn't complained about how bad it was compared to the 360 version, I wouldnt even had noticed anything at all...hell, I really can't anyway!!!
And just for your own pursuit of intellectual growth and understanding, the CGI that you're obviously referring to was K2 which wasn't created by SONY but buy a little gem of a developer call Guerrilla Games, a 2nd party developer (in which the CGI actually was demonstrated to show what the final game would look like, never saying it WAS in-game)!!! Come back when you learn to play with the big boys!

I just think its sad that even a 33% failure rate is acceptable in our society regardless of how many games it may have. This is just sad that companies know people are such idiots as to buy something they KNOW will break! The consumer just got knocked down a notch in my book...congratulations people...This is acceptable because you LET it be!!!

To a commenter above...I agree and actually have a launch PS3 and a gaming pc I built about 2 years ago. With these two monsters I can pretty much play about 90% of the games out there...minus Alan Wake now being a 360 exclusive!
I like how if you actually read this article, they say the 360 is the console to beat and then lists one of the reasons as games...funny thing is, all of the games they list are MULTIPLATS! Epic fail for MS this year. Natal is really the only thing they have left for them...and maybe Alan Wake...ODST just doesn't seem like the franchise has any steam left!
Yeah, China is notorious for ripping off legitimate technologies and then creating a cheaper rip off version of it. The fact that Blu ray is not selling well in China due to a new competitor is NOTHING new to the world. This has happened for years with vhs, dvd, video game systems, ipods, etc!

The fatal flaw with this is that right now, the 360 and PS3 are in two different price ranges. Even if the 360 cut their prices to follow suit with the PS3, it would still end up putting them both in the same price range and bring the PS3 out of a "luxury item" status. Regardless, a price drop for the PS3 is not going to help the 360 at all!!!
Ehh...Most Valve games suck now anyway! L4D was probably one of the worst games I have PLAYED personally on the PC. Funny thing is...I didn't even pay for it, I played it on a friends PC and still didn't like it!!!
