Aren't they trying to get out of the console/hardware business and focus on becoming a games developer and publisher?
Remember paying for games in the 90's? lol
I will get cooked here for saying this but look at the cost of games from the 80's and 90's. Adjusted for inflation, a $49 in 1995 would cost $104.90 USD today. I'm not trying to justify the price increase but just demonstrating how costs in things have gone up just by inflation alone, not including other variables like labor wages, etc.
Is it bad that I still hold out hope that every BF game will go back to it's roots and be good like BF/BF2/Bad Company/BF3/BF4?????
What can I say...I'm an optimist lol
Honestly I feel dedicated handheld are still going out. I have a fold 4 and a gamesir game pad that connects to it and I can play tons of stuff on there. The only limitation right now is the inability to download games and run them due to licensing issues and publisher/plqtform restrictions.
Out of curiosity, when games were $49 and $59 dollars in previous generations, would would the adjusted price be today for, let's say, a $49 game in 1993 in 2025 dollars?
Haha so true! I cringe to actually look up on Steam how many hours I've spent on Total War games. EASILY 100's of hours!!!
ummm...not if they are GOOD games lol
Oh I hear you! Blood and Wine was AMAZING!!!!!
Honestly the only game from them I've played that cut promises is Cyberpunk. Their Witcher games have always been amazing with great characters and exploration (Even Witcher 1 and 2). I'm cautiously optimistic they can bring the goods for Witcher 4.
I just want all of my PS3 PSN store purchases restored on the current PSN lol
Ughh...This is disappointing... I was really hoping for Inquisitions scope and freedom to explore and unlock new game mechanics and secret maps depending on the choices/mission you undertook....
Does anyone remember PS MInis from the PS3 era? I feel like most of those were mobile games that were ported...No reason they couldn't do that again I suppose. :)
I think the old 80s and 90s fears of AI becoming self aware a.d seeking tk destroy humanity is kind of giving way to the newer idea thst AI has the capability to destabilize society through insidious and hard to detect AI generated images, videos, art, stories, news, etc. Couple that with AI having the capability to displace most jobs as well as society's dependence on social media for news (which is greatly based on predictive AI algorithms) and we've crested a blueprint for pur own ...
I promise I'm not TRYING to.be contrarion with this comment bit I bought FF16 and couldn't finish it. To me the story seemed boring compared to classic FFs and seemed as though it was more interested in being a game of thrones clone than a true final fantasy. Just my opinion.
I give up on the gaming community...I have been playing games heavily since the 80's and I just can't anymore...
We get a game that is long, and has tons of narrative to work through that takes a long time to play and people complaint about it. 10 years ago EVERYBODY was complaining about how short games were becoming.
It seems like if you live long enough you start seeing the things that people complaint about becoming trivial and cyclical....people will ...
I mean I have always had a playstation and been a Sony fan but I'm still super excited for Starfield. Bethesda has been one of the (more or less) continuously great developers I can think of. I'm thinking of getting a series X (somehow) to play starfield since updating my PC with recommended specs would cost a small fortune. I wish MS didn't acquire Bethesda......
@outsidetnebox
...ORRRRRRR you could be a savy consumer and take my phone's MSRP of $1900...subtract the $1000 trade in I received because I paid attention to the deals...subtract another $400 because of customer loyalty perks...and then subtract another $200 from accumated cellar provider credits.
Suddenly that $1900 phone isn't so much different from the Playststion portal AND it has a much.l bigger screen AND its Android so I can also (allegedl...
Have you played Starfield yet? How is it?
Dang! Been wanting to play AW2 for a while now and almost bought it a few times. Glad I waited!!!!
