...and people complain when the benefits aren't readily apparent...Kudos Sony on making the PS3 system even better!!!
Question! Is Bungie owned by MS? I'm wondering if there's a chance this could come to other consoles?
Yes...the typical MSRP for a game last generation was USD $49.99. It really is getting ridiculous!
I know what you mean!!!! I grew up on them to. Can you believe that GDI and NOD are talking now! I mean it makes sense to stem the Tiberium infestation and alien invasion but...wow! After all of this time, maybe it will finally come down to all of humanity uniting under a GDIN or something (Global Defense Initiative of Nod) to save the planet. Either way it will be EPIC!!!!!
I was worried when they said they were going to redo the engine, but I've gotta say I looks pretty good! Since this is some of the earliest in game shots we've seen I'm pretty stoked. Its such a big difference between this trailer and the old CG trailer (which still looked friggin' awesome). It does seem that the game has an entirely different feel though...IDK...The old trailer seemed to make it seem more epic! I hope that facet hasn't changed though.
That's funny...I didn't know that Finland was the HD capitol of the world now! HAHA! These articles are funny.
Also in the news...gardens fail to grow on the moon!
Down with ACTIVISION!!!!!!!!
The argument that this generation is harder to develop for than the last and that games are not bigger thus necessitating a price hike is probably the biggest cop out I've heard yet. Every generation is more complex than the last, but that runs even with technological innovation. I was thinking about getting Modern Warfare too, until I heard about the price hike, but not any more. I know some people will still buy it, but honestly, when you get right down to it, gaming IS a hobby (albeit o...
These people you talk to are probably the same people that watch a 1080p blu ray on a 720i tv. And yeah...it happens a lot...It's pretty hilarious, and sad! lol
But it's not really 1080p that you are streaming and definitely not 7.1 surround...
I don't know..I'm completely happy with the PSN! I'm not saying its the greatest, just that it suits my needs just fine. My only problem is that I only have DSL, so either way, its still easier for me to just buy a movie and actually own it. Plus what happens when your hard drive fries or something, sure its backed up by the company's records...but then you have to spend all that time redownloading it...annoying! Buying it takes like 10 minutes!
I still like to think that people like to get out of their house every one in a while...even if it is only to go buy a movie on disk...
Can we now please invent something to chew our food for us?
While I agree with you the only problem with the cd/mp3 analogy is that by the time mp3s came along, the infrastructure was already able to handle their small download size. We aren't anywhere near having the ability for everyone to download bluray games and 1080p movies.
Another problem I have with that analogy is the fact that yea, of course people will download mp3s for songs instead of the actual album. Songs are only 2:30 to 5 minutes long on average. That is a small en...
It's still too soon, but also..the end of Infamous!!! You know what I mean...any takers??!?!
Or how about the fact that...
<<<<<SOILER> ;>>>>
In MGS3 you find out that you actually ARE Big Boss! That was awesome! Another good one was the revelation that all people were made by the Deus recovery program in Xenogears...now THAT game had plot twists!!!!!
Even if they did want to do this, they would have to invent an entire new internet connection protocal to handle the mass amount of downloads people will get. When you factor in the GROWING rate of download caps that providers are using, it actually seems counter-intuitive that anyone would want to do this. I don't think this could honestly happen for another 10 years or so. I mean, yeah, technology changes at a faster and faster rate, but POLICY...that is what is always to slow thing to c...
That's the thing. I am a huge book person, but what I've always been worried about is that the Halo books, "fall of reach, etc..." will be the equivalent of a video game movie. A friend let me borrow them one time years ago...(I still have them...shhhh, lol!) but I've always been too busy reading other stuff...Dan simmons, Donaldson, Jordan etc to read them. Are they really that good?
Finish blu-ray? I didn't know it was in the position to be finished...what with record sales every month and so on...
It seems like Activision is becoming the new "old" EA!!! In the words of The Comedian, "God help us all"!
I think he is referring to the rampant nature of the FPS! I kinda agree with him...there are too many FPSs on the market!
