This is why valve has become one of the main developers I HATE! They waste their time with stupid sh!t and never get around to releasing a game. It's funny that they did episodic content for half life 2 rather than a sequel in the spirit of giving gamers and fans more stuff more often, but it has actually turned out to be much less stuff at about the same interval it would take to make a new game.
MESSAGE TO VALVE: Just cut your losses, get episode 3 out as quickly as possible...
Isnt metacritic completely subjective though? I don't know, but I always thought gears 1 was a generic shooter (played it on pc not 360 so this is not a 360 bash...don't turn it into one) Uncharted on the other hand had one of the better character interactions that I can remember. These numbers are bogus. Sony now looks at installed base as the number that ends up in someones living room out of the box so to speak. MS on the other hand counts units sold as how many are shipped to retailers. So anytime you go to the store and see a ton of 360s on the shelf, MS has already counted those as sold!!!

I really like how the limiting factor to this comparison was the number of 360 games that you could actually compare with. The list could be longer, they just plumb ran out of quality exclusives for the 360 with a ton more for ps3 that weren't even used...like Uncharted, one of the better scoring games out there. This comparison reeks of 360 fanboyism but utterly fails in a shoddy attempt to prove that the few games the 360 does have are anywhere near the library of games for the ps3 whethe...
...or you could argue that no matter what...a cheaper ps3 will sell whereas a cheaper 360 is already within the price range of comfort even before another price cut. The PS3 has more to gain from a price cut and slim than a 360!!!
Even if prices are neck and neck between the 360 and the PS3, the PS3 WILL pull way ahead. Look at the numbers. Despite being several hundred dollars more than some 360s, the 360 only outsold the PS3 by a mere 100,000 so far this year. The game will be over IF and I say IF the slim AND price cut are both realized for the PS3!!!

I don't know...To me, I agree with everything the author of the article said. Personally, MP is one of the last things I look at when buying a game. I look at story, characters and replayability. Call me a dinosaur, but I think that people are getting too focused on MP nowadays and getting away from the good stories and attachments that good games used to have.
