I like how as the years have gone by, game success has been marginalized to simply how well it sells. No longer can a game simply be good, but its "not great" unless it sells millions of copies. Remember when nobody cared about sales and a game was good if it sold a couple hundred thousand copies? Just because it "only" sells a few million, companies are still making a damn good profit. Who cares? The only people who care about sales are those who are too busy looking...
Know a lot of people here know that I love my PS3 and I'm all for Sony, but one problem I had with this article is some of the points given don't reflect NPD numbers. Using Walmart sales shouldn't count because NPD doesn't show Walmart sales. In actuality, this should boost 360 sales more right? I'm just saying...
I'm not making this into a fanboy article, I'm just pointing out some possible bad journalism. Am I right?
Yeah 6.5 million consoles ahead...and about 10 million RROD behind...get a clue!
Just realized my post was written wrong...I meant to ask "Wasn't PS3 always ahead?"
Actually since the economic collapse of 2008/2009, the economic hub of the world has been severely decentralized and has become multipolar. Right now, the US stock market is not as influential as it was a couple of years ago. I never thought I would say this, but EU and Japan matter a whole hell of a lot more than they used to and astronomically more than you think!!!
You do realize this is just NA right?! PS3 DID outsell 360 worldwide and has been since the slim launch...sorry to tell you guys that, but...I tried?
I'm confused...didn't all weekly numbers for november always put 360 ahead???
360 and PS3 people standing together holding hands about a game that both do not care about...
I know what you mean about PS3 exclusives! Graphically, there is usually no comparison...My friend got Lost Odyssey the other day and was telling me how great "next" gen (come on guys, I think we can call it current gen now...) RPG graphics were...I saw the game and honestly thought FF12 looked better...it looked like a PS2 game. Whenever games go multiplat, odds are (there are always exceptions I guess) that the bar has been set lower to accommodate for the LCD (whatever it may b...
This game was only kinda on my radar anyway. The only thing I'm worried about is that they did this to mask a possible failure with their PS3 development so they went multi...I guess only time will tell!
I'm still waiting for the PS3 announcement...I can dream right?!?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't like 95% of PS1 games released on the Japanese PSN?! So in reality, this article should be "Five PSone Classics to be Released on American/European PSN!
What's with calling this game the true God of War. Isn't God of War the true God of War since, you know, it ACUTALLY IS GOD OF WAR!?!
Yeah, so i've been playing through K2 again on my new HDTV that I bought recently and I've gotta say...Sony and their developers deserve to get this huge increase in sales!!! Way to go SONY!!!!
Wow so just because you have three 360s that work you claim that there is no problem with disk scratching or rrod?...so who are YOU calling a fanboy?!?!
Yeah that was a pretty stupid comment you made. Sony copying MS by having people pay for something? That's as stupid as saying you are copying Bill Gates by using the numbers 0 and 1 in phone number. Quit being such a fanboy and grow up!
Ok...So I'll just keep using the "inferior" PSN while you keep playing your XBLA.
How many 360 consoles have you gone through now? I'm just really glad you can find the time to play online with all of your systems being sent in for repair!
"As he pushes the Wii out the door to go play with the rest of the retarded children in the neighborhood..."
Agreed! I really hope this is where the tech is going! Thanks to multicore processing, good old Moore's Law can keep on going for a while! Seeing multi-core gpus linked to even more multi-cored cpus is something I hope I can buy for my next computer build. Pretty soon, we will have a human brain, lol (or at least the computational power of one!!!
It's really closer than you think! Check out the Blue Brain Project!!!
So was this the big surprise for the VGAs? Just curious!
