Shallow games as well as having no buttons vs hardcore games as well as having buttons.
I was not at all implying that shallow games is a result of no buttons nor that hardcore games is a result of having buttons. Although for hardcore games having buttons probably helps somewhat.
Otherwise by that logic wouldn't my phone plus controller satisfy my gaming needs?

As for smartphones I've got a 'Phonejoy' controller for my Galaxy S-II so it has buttons but also need a table to put the phone on while you hold the controller and accept you phone is going to run out of battery before the day is done.

720p 3d for games is a limit of HDMI 1.4a standard, so isn't just down to the game.
With HDMI 1.4a in 3d its 1080p 24hz (bluray) or 720p 60hz for games.

well its not just apple tablets, samsung, acer, asus etc
I dnt think its a deal breaker people happily pay an extra £100 for 16gb more memory on an iPad or other tablet.
I like that concept PS4 picture modern and 80's all at the same time.
I'll be ready for next gen by next xmas I think.
Maybe diversity is the wrong word, what I mean is a substantial amount of very high quality games never see the light of day on PC.
It doesn't matter how awesome my PC is consoles are still the only way to access these games, so solely gaming on my PC is not viable for me and a lot of others.
For my tastes I would lose more jacking in my consoles then flogging my GPU.
But wouldn't hackers just make a sony card with a micro sd slot ala Vita r4 card?

Don't get me wrong I normally get multiplats on PC but my argument for consoles has always been diversity of games library which I think consoles are still better for.
PC games are a lot cleaner if you've got the right hardware but ultimately if a game is great it doesn't really matter what platform you play it on- ain't no shiney new textures gonna fix a poor game.
I would've thought it would need more ram to effectively drive multiple screens.
