I think it's a challenge for a developer to create a game for co-op to make sense. Story-driven games like Bioshock just aren't designed for co-op. You're even seeing games like Left 4 Dead which were designed as a co-op game.
However, I think Gears of War nailed campaign co-op, it works perfectly and if anything improves the campaign rather than harms it. I can't wait to play the Gears 3 campaign with 3 of my mates.
Halo Wars came out February 2009.
I don't remember a Halo game coming out in 2008.
Each map needs to be amazing then!
"UK? Who cares?"
The UK maybe.
Shame all you fanboys are missing out on all these great games in the name of console loyalty.
@ HelghastDrake
I seem to remember you criticizing people for championing the sales of the 360, and yet here you are, first post in a PS3 sales article. Hypocrisy at its finest.
I think you can only change your gamertag every so often anyway.
Like anyone has been waiting 5 years for their old gamertag to become available.
Exactly, it's just a case of when.
Are people living in fantasy land? These are the sort of announcements you are likely to hear at E3. They might reveal a game or two but I wouldn't get your hopes up. It will probably be like that Microsoft event last week - new info and add ons for known games.
"Since Activision does not own Infinity Ward"
Errr... yes they do.
I could get into games fine, but whenever I was in a party with one of my mates it would never work. Hopefully they will sort it out for everyone.
Its basically the same as the beta plus a new map. I guess it's worth downloading for another 2 weeks of free Crysis 2 multiplayer.
Exactly, like anyone will be able to tell the difference when it's in motion. The gameplay is what ultimately makes or breaks a game.
Yeah but people don't review games solely against other games, them score them on their own merits. Why would you compare a first-person shooter with a third-person shooter anyway? At least compare it with a game of the same genre like Halo.
If you think the ENTIRETY of the media is biased then start an internet campaign or something, the rest of us are too busy enjoying our games.
I don't need to be convinced to play the beta, it's Gears.
Your comment is so hypocritical. So the media is biased and you're completely impartial? I personally think Gears 2 was a way better game than Killzone 2, so it's your opinion against mine.
Barry was the comic relief in an otherwise serious game. I think the game was better with him than without him.
The trailer is extremely visceral, I just hope the same can be said for the actual game.
