Not worth buying a 360 just for Alan Wake, but there are plenty of other exclusives on the console that should take your fancy.
Depends on how aggressively EA markets Crysis 2, but I would say it's a safe bet anyway given it's a sequel and not a new IP like Homefront. Plus, the reviews of Homefront will hurt it to an extent.
Obviously people are going to bash the article without even reading it, but some of the points he raised were valid. I mean don't tell me that you're all happy with the installs/updates that you have to keep doing, as well as the sub-standard communication features.
The PS3 is a great console, everyone knows that, but it would be miles better if some of these issues were sorted out.
I think he has some great ideas for games and there are elements of Fable that make it a really unique RPG. However, there are some core fundamentals that I think he keeps missing out and needs to address in his next game. I definitely rate him as a creative designer.
I mean conceptually. Fable 3 was as good as it could have possibly been (minus technical issues and difficulty level). I think any new ideas they have should be held back for future hardware.
Besides, we have already had two Fable games on the 360, I would like to see Lionhead do something different. They had some fantastic concepts which never saw the light of day.
Look absolutely fantastic considering that it's essentially running on 5 year-old technology. It shows that the 360 is capable of graphical powerhouses, even if the PS3 has a better peak performance.
Really? Cause I would've thought Lionhead would use it in their next game.
Fable 4 should be made for the next Xbox, I think they've taken it as far as they can with current hardware. I would like to see what else they can do with the 360.
I payed significantly less than that for Reach the day it came out.
My god Genji was a travesty. I like samurai games but as the article says, it fails in almost every aspect of game design.
Haze wasn't actually that bad, at least it had co-op which was quite fun. It was massively over-hyped though.
Not at all. Better hardware can lead to better gameplay. AI can be more intelligent, worlds can be more open and populated.
I guess graphics are all that matter to you, hence the Killzone avatar.
Anything below 9 is considered a disappointment nowadays.
Yes and he slated Halo 3 for that very reason. He said Reach stands up on its single player though.
Prey 1 was pretty generic. Hopefully they will improve it drastically.
Bethesda are only publishing the game.
Yeah because everyone knows about those retro lancers in God of War...
At the end of the day both Gears of War and God of War abbreviate as GOW, deal with it.
A game that lasts forever but could only be played for one second? Interesting, sounds like a lateral thinking question.
I hope the next generation of consoles sees innovations in areas other than graphics. I would like to see more games with single player and multiplayer integrated seamlessly. I know some games are trying it but I would like to see a game that really nails it.
I think it's more of a crime that you're defending flaws of the PS3 which I'm sure you'd much rather want sorting out. If these were flaws of the 360 I highly doubt you and many other people would hold the same opinions.
It's much more constructive to admit when a product has flaws rather than just believing its perfect.
