Same, it controls pretty much like GTA but the core gameplay is totally different (and different for the better I might add).
The large majority of consumers won't know/care about the 3 discs.
Red Dead wasn't a new IP.
Yeah you criticize FPSs today but look at the selection of quality FPSs you had in the early 90s: Wolfenstein, Doom, Marathon... that's it. 3 good FPSs in the space of 5 years. This gen we've have CoD4, Halo 3, Crysis, Portal, Far Cry 2, Battlefield Bad Company, all high-quality and relatively unique FPSs. You can play the "kid" card with me all you want, but the fact is that we are getting a better selection of great games for ALL genres.
All these PSP games will just be HD remasters, it would take way too much time and money to upgrade to such a sophisticated engine. They would be better off remaking Metal Gear 1 and 2 using the MGS4 engine cause not many people played those versions.
I personally think that gaming is getting better and better. There will be the connoisseurs out there that think the charm of gaming has been lost now the industry is becoming big business, but it's pure nostalgia. You go back and play the games you used to play as a kid and they pale in comparison with current games. Game mechanics, the advent of online gaming, graphics, consoles, controllers have all contributed to the improvement of gaming.
Saying "there's to...
It's said to be Kinect-compatible, so you can't really box it as a "Kinect game". The fact that it's a Crytek game means it's definitely worth keeping an eye on.
Morrisons £35, they always sell new release games for that price.
Funny how the writer of this article has tried to link this to the constraints of the DVD. People buy DVD boxsets all the time and they've opened it to find they've got the incorrect discs.
Flimsy arguments clearly born from a fake story.
Exactly, Brotherhood was the best in the series. As long as it keeps getting better then what's the problem?
People keep comparing it to CoD but after Modern Warfare the series has taken a number of sideways steps. Still great games but not particularly improving or innovating.
Most likely more DLC for Halo Reach. Could potentially be campaign DLC though.
People will buy COD no matter what the cost, because (like FIFA) it potentially offer months and months of gameplay. Many people buy those two games alone in the UK, so they probably don't know whether they're being overcharged anyway.
Doesn't matter, supermarkets always try to undercut each other on launch day, meaning it will cost significantly less.
Dungeon Keeper, Populous, Black & White, all considered among the best of their genre. Fable may not be held in such high esteem but is still a very unique game that does things no other RPG does.
Unfortunately he's created a slightly negative persona though many exaggerated statements, but his work speaks for itself.
Will it have SIXAXIS support like Warhawk? Or is that function officially dead and buried?
Mate they're virtually identical, even without installing the 360 version. Like anyone gives a shit about the odd sharper pixel (well, apart from you obviously).
Yeah cause Limbo, Shadow Complex, Splosion Man etc. were all "massive failures" weren't they?
Seriously, according to fanboys a game hasn't just got to be exclusive to deserve any recognition whatsoever, now it has to be "retail" exclusive.
Sorry but it sounds like you play games for all the wrong reasons.
You say that but if it is 1600 points then it's more likely to be a higher-quality title than if it were 800.
Very nice, hopefully it will lead to an Alan Wake 2 next year.
And yet it's 90 on metacritic, oh wait, the PS3 version is 89.
This is why people shouldn't judge a game purely on review aggregators.
