I was pretty underwhelmed to be honest. They were announcing lots of exclusive content but little in terms of exclusive games. There was no megaton announcement either which made the end pretty anticlimactic. Not much better than Microsoft if you ask me.
Vista and Vita have completely different meanings.
Definitely the most disappointing announcement in the Microsoft press conference. I honestly don't know what they were thinking taking Fable and turning it into this.
Definitely the best iteration of the dashboard, looks very slick and tidy.
Looking at it objectively they did everything they needed to. They announced core games, Kinect games and new features for XBL (which look amazing btw). Subjectively it was a poor showing from a gamer's standpoint, but you can't complain about the amount of quality titles coming in the next year or so anyway.
As good as this sounds, they've kind of killed the buzz for it after announcing Halo 4. Nice to hear that it won't be a full priced game though.
Maybe people don't have cash to spare on the ultra high PC requirements that it will undoubtedly need.
Just realised that they didn't announce the alleged XBL Diamond service, wonder if it means we will get all the live tv features for free.
Sick of Sony's press conference being at 1AM in the UK. They've always had theirs after Nintendo's press conference in the early evening. I suppose they've moved it so that Nintendo's console announcement won't steal their thunder.
I agree that the fall lineup is very congested, but Uncharted is a AAA franchise so I doubt it will be hugely affected.
I would not release any new IPs in November though, that's for sure.
Pretty sure it's just Kinect compatible. They would've announced it as a Kinect title if it were the case.
Yeah cause we all know how poorly Kinect is selling...
They're clearly lowering the price to coincide with E3 you muppet.
They announced it had passed 1 million pre-orders worldwide a couple of months ago. They may well hit 2 million before the game releases.
They would never release a Halo and Gears game in the same year.
They had demos for Gears and Forza last E3, I reckon we will just see trailers for the both of them. Definitely a MW3 demo and something on Kingdoms. I think they will end the show with a Halo 4 teaser personally.
It says in the article Raccoon City is listed separately, so no.
This may be a big announcement in their press conference but he acts like this is their only announcement. I don't see why people have a problem with consoles becoming more multi-functional; the stats show that people use their consoles for entertainment other than gaming. This guy comes across more as a disgruntled fanboy throwing a fit as opposed to someone more focused on generating interesting debate.
What would reviewers have to gain from scoring all PS3 exclusive unfairly? Don't tell me Microsoft is bribing every publication out there. I think you're just being paranoid.
Yep, and later they often end up admitting that the reviews were right.
Neither press conference was that great in all honesty. Nintendo will probably steal the show on the basis of their new console announcement, but I think E3 press conferences in general are becoming something of a chore to sit through. It's less about the games and more about the PR.
