This is true for most if not all games on any console. It is also the reason why my team gets so many wins. We work together as a team and kill the opposition. Even in MW2, teamwork helps eliminate the others faster and more enjoyably.

"Sony shoots for the stars... While Microsoft shoots for Sony."
Sony innovates while all others imitate. It's why the Cell was used and we are still only seeing the tip of this iceberg.
They know nothing in terms of real numbers if you back one and not the other. Both are estimates and in some cases, both are off from the real numbers. In the end, the estimate is better than nothing and it is nice to see Sony gaining on MS. So many times did we have to hear how it would take ten or more years for Sony to catch MS... At this rate, it will be the end of 2010 when we see MS overtaken by Sony and MS put into third place where they belong.
The 360 will never be in first place at the end of each generation. They make poor decisions to buy DLC exclusivity and not put together a better first party dev team to make exclusive games. I would rather them invest money in the games not the DLC.
You have to be a Halo fanboy to enjoy the meaning behind the #1 spot ad you have there and if you are not, then the list is fail. Sorry, but there are way better ads than that one even on your list. Perhaps you just messed up the order...
To answer your flame bait question, you simply need to look back at history and see that both Nintendo and Sony have survived every hype train that MS has fired up. When Halo 3 was released, Sony and Ninty lived on and they did so by selling more consoles than MS world wide. The only people that propose doom and gloom on Ninty and Sony when MS fire up the hype train are MS fanbabies. It's sad too since learning a little history is not hard at all...
You have either never played a God of War game title. There is so much more tot hem than just mashing buttons. Remember, this is not Conan, this is the original one and only true game in the genre. All others are simply imitation.

I loved Fable and when Fable II was released, I was somewhat disappointed. I don't know why but the game for me felt like it lacked soul. Just my opinion. If Fable III is anything like Fable II, it will be a pass for me.
And for good reason. When compared to Kratos, Ryu is a p*ssy.
After playing the demo I got with District 9, I can safely say that this game is going to be extremely awesome.
After World at War, I know several folks that would do so. WaW was great compared to Treyarchs previous games and if their new title was brought closer to the present in terms of modern warfare then yeah, I know several that would buy it over another Halo title. After Halo 3 and ODST, we have seen how low the Halo franchise can stoop and though the next one might be good, some of us feel a little burned out on Halo to not consider another alternative to shooter fun.
It does surprise me that MS is as low on the list as they are. I would have thought they would have been a little higher...
That is by far no such fanboy comment. In fact, what you say there is happening and will be complete by the end of 2010. This year we will see the PS3 overtake the 360 in sales and it will be most due to sales outside of North America. Now if we could only stress enough to the other fanbase that North America does not = World Wide sales.

These numbers show two things, one, your thoughts that the PS consoles had vast install bases and were the reason for the huge sales of Gran Turismo is fal...
You can't reason with them. They can't even admit to the FACT that the GT series outsells the Halo series by leaps and bounds. Last I checked, the GT series is over 20 million units more sold than the Halo series and yet they feel the need to fall to the hype train of MS and their PR dogs. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink.
And Soda... Look up, you just got schooled.
I did compare them but after that I said (in a later post) that even comparing ODST to Prolog, GT would still have sold more in totals. People just need to admit to the facts, GT games sell more. Plain and simple.
Key word there guys, PUBLISHERS, not developers. Any publisher can put out a game but what makes a game great is the developer. You can have 80% of the publishers publishing games by the worst developers in the world and it only means you are getting poor shovelware games like the Wii. Don't get your hopes up until the thing arrives.
