Yup, same thing keeps happening to me. It has happened several times actually. Sucks because I want to play the shit out of it, but cant stand having to start over cuz of a glitch.

Simple solution, allow all vr headsets currently on the market to plug and play on series x. There is no need to have their own headset. What would really be a boon is if you could use psvr headsets too.
I get emails from gamestop telling me when they are going to have stock of both PS5 and series X. I have managed to snag 2 of each console since Jan 21(Only one at a time on 4 different occasions). I was using the PS5 stock tracker for a couple months after launch with no luck. It looks incredible. It looks just as good as if I were running it on my i7 1080ti rig. I was playing it this morning and it was hard for me to believe I was playing a console, it looks that damn good.
I still can't put mine in stand by without it shutting off completely throughout the night and giving me the "you didn't shutdown your playstation properly, please wait while we scan your disc for errors" lecture screen the next day. So I don't even use the feature.
Well....It's a review of the next gen version, patch, whatever you want to call it. I believe they are saying that there was enough improvement to warrant a higher score. Simply put, the PS5 and XSX version look better, play better, and come with all of the DLC. If it had rated lower, then that would be the moment to be outraged.
You are exactly right. But they are not going to make 3 when they can just charge you for a half assed update every Sept. I am with you and quit playing 2 yrs. ago. There is still enough people buying in to the "New" pass every year because they sure don't seem to be tired of kickin the same ol can down the rode. My God if nothing else it needs an engine update.
Dude the XSX version doesn't even come close to looking like this. In fact I was underwhelmed by how it looks on my series x. So you can't equate a 3090 to a XSX. Apples n oranges.

I agree with all of that. On another note I enjoyed playing as the default Shepherd in the original trilogy. Ryder on the other hand looks like a goofy fuck and is the equivalent of playing as Fry (Futurama) in a Mass Effect game.
But how else could they charge you again for the same game on their next system?
Sites like ebay are the reason the scalpers work. If they had no massive platform to re sell on, this would be a non issue. Its simple. These sites need to implement a 60day ban on all sales of newly released tech. That should include phones, gpus, consoles, or whatever. It really surprises me that the industry who launched an all out war on used game sales, has not step in and done something about this.
I don't understand why these sports franchises, that are deeply reliant upon competition, keep signing these long exclusive contracts. This effectively kills the competition in the games' market and leads to poor games and on to poor game sales. They have to know, that all this in effect, tarnishes their brand. The image of their brand has to be more important than the money they get for the exclusive contract.

Not with VRR you don't. You would if it was a big drop like 20fps, but 5-6 fps drop you would never notice. Thats why theres been such a big deal about freesync and gsync monitors (the original vrr screens). I play on a Alienware AW3418DW Ultrawide gsync monitor.
