Whereas Ubisoft and EA occasionally ship the classic broken game, Square Enix strives to anger fans in new, innovative ways. In their pre-order department they've formulated the perfect shitstorm. In a brilliant creative move they've made it so if there aren't enough pre-orders you don't even get all the bonuses with the revolutionary tier tool. But wait there's more, it's literally impossible to unlock all the content in the pre-order tiers as well. Then the heavens o...
I personally thought it was slow and small for what it sets out to be. The trailer made it seem fast and chaotic, but advanced warfare does it much better. Moreover the couple of maps I played on were too small, more often then not I found myself and others playing it grounded, only sparsely using the movement options.
None of those are really good reasons.
No. The PS4 and PC versions use Sub Surface Scattering. Its an effect That essentially blurs skin detail to give the effect of light bouncing around naturally.
I just expect it for every AAA game review from Polygon. They have a have a really narrow, lame view of what gaming should be.
"After the progressive characterization of this summer's excellent Mad Max: Fury Road, the game's treatment of its few women is especially disappointing. The closest thing Mad Max has to a female lead, a woman not coincidentally named Hope, is a concubine for the villain and a love interest for Max. Her sole purpose in the plot is to make the bad guys more evil and provide motivation for the hero to fight. She's a damsel in distress stereotype, and it's more disheartening...
Nah, it's solid 7.5/10
They delayed the game to make changes due to player feedback. Some of the responses I've seen are just pathetic.
That was a good interview, but the entire intro write up was atrocious. It tries to compare AC to Tomb Raider and Batman, two very different games. Moreover, movement isn't an issue, it's frankly incredibly easy after the changes in Unity.
Probable reason: Activision doesn't want pay to publish a game with limited sales when Sony can probably just do it. Hell, it might have been a part of their 3rd party partnership deal.
Most gamers are delusional hypocrites. They are literally unable to notice their own hypocrisy, it's like a disability really. Unless it's EA or Ubisoft, then a trailer is enough to piss off people.
Your points are all valid, buts it's still a great game.
Stop calling it a Skyrim sequel. It's the Elder Scrolls series, for one. Secondly, the next iteration in the series will be in another country, as usual. It would make no sense to put it back in the same place.
Is this satire? Blacklist received outstanding reviews according to its 84% on metacritic and released on PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U.
Steampunk is, how shall I put this, not real. A series that's based around accurate time periods isn't going to include that.
If they remove the car explosions I'll buy it day 1.
You're only saying that because you believe it was developed by Ubisoft, which it wasn't. They published it.
It's about knowing your audience. People who play assassin's creed generally enjoy history and soaking in the locations and the various time periods.
Sometimes I feel like Square Enix just wants to hate f@ck it's consumers. I mean they want you, but begrudgingly.
