Buuuuuut, this could also mean something good. Diablo (original) did NOT have skill trees, it had spells that any class could learn given they had the stats for it, and then there was 1 class-specific ability for each class. Warrior had Repair, Rogue had Trap Disarm, and the Mage had Staff Recharge..

Darksiders, GoW3, and Bayonetta all seem like similar games that can co-exist fine together. I think the odd one out here is definitely DMC. Bayonetta looks like it's going to take a lot of wind out of DMC's sails. As for Dante's Inferno, I dunno. I guess it should get an honorable mention, it looks cool. Not a GoW3 killer, based on what I've seen so far.
I think it'll look better on 360, without a doubt. If the game is finished for PS3 already, and they're working on the 360 version that is (I'm gonna go out on a limb here) going to be easier to develop for, I'm sure they'll make improvements here and there in the process.
If they completely blow the 360 version out of the water with the PS3 version, I don't think MS and SE will be on very good terms, and western favor is what SE is gunning for these days.

The biggest performance feature I saw from the PSP was the unlocking of the clock speeds. It makes a big difference when viewing large photos and such. For games I didn't notice much more than a boost in the loading of preview videos and things like that. Mainly XMB speed-up.
MS has been doing the online thing for a lot longer than Sony though. Sony did cover a lot of ground since the release of the PS3 in terms of their online features. MS will always keep their edge though in some way, regardless of how many trivial features they stamp on to their service. It's the one area they can't afford to fall short in, it's their console's claim to fame (well they could afford it, I'm sure, but you know what I mean).

The bells and whistles of this generation's consoles is going to make the games suffer, and that is sad. Direct communication is a necessity, but EVERYTHING ELSE is not.

I think the biggest downfall of MW2's graphics is a combination of lighting and cheesy textures. Those lockers, although they are a photograph of a real lockers mapped to the objects, looks gross. Maybe it's the lighting, but that whole environment looks very very ugly to me.
Not saying the game looks all-around terrible, it's just not up there with....well...you know.
I would say 2:1 if anything, 3:1 seems unreasonable, that's more comparable to the Wii's numbers. And we all know about that..
The fact that colleges and universities are the ones producing people for the games industry is the first problem. It's no different than anyone else getting a degree in anything these days. It always makes me happy when I see someone getting ahead that learned everything on their own, skills they developed by themselves.

Ahhhhh.... Itagaki. For reasons unexplained, I had like an ongoing month-long joke centered around Itagaki with a friend of mine... I think it started when we began playing DOA and just kept calling every female character Itagaki, and any feminine male character Itagaki. it just continued on from there, eventually we called anything we saw anywhere that was male and feminine Itagaki. The dude cracks me up..
Silent Hill was a great video game movie. The special features were also very fun to watch. I'm a huge fan of the original (JUST the original), and I still found it to be pretty good. I was SO impressed with the part where she runs through the alleyway, later being attacked by the ash babies. The camera angles are the exact same as the ones in the original game for that part too. That alone pretty much did it for me. Showed that they were paying some sort of attention to their source material...
Super Mario Kart, one of the very, very few Nintendo games I could waste hours of my life playing. Such fun games.
I can remember setting a record for myself on Rainbow Road in the original Mario Kart for SNES. I couldn't top it, neither could anyone else I knew at the time. I remember setting it with Mario.

I ran into most of my problems playing ranked GeoW matches, lots of whiners and unpleasant people on there.
I ran into some stuff on Killzone 2 a couple times too, some strong words regarding racism.
