I hate it when it has nothing to do with the game, like dead island for example.
AC3 trailers do show of game features, the setting and the mood they are aiming for, I don't mind it as much.
expect underwater swimming and naked ladies :D
I didn't realize how many gamers disliked AC3, I had the impression I was getting quite a few disagrees when I was telling people that AC3 was not good.
If you're interested, my guess is you can just jump into AC4, the story in AC while appreciated by some is mostly rubbish.

the end of AC3 is basically the same as the mass effect 3 ending, but just way, way worse. I think it didn't get as much backlash as ME3, because the rest of AC's story was stupid to.
EDIT: AC2 is a fun game though, if you can get it on the cheap, you should try it.
looks like they added underwater swimming, that won't end well. AC just needs to be redone from scratch, they keep incrementally adding features, the games have no focus anymore.

those are extremely good looking pictures, but they were taken in photo mode which had more post-processing and looked way better than the actual game.
PS+ EU just keeps on giving, I can't keep up
this has me worried, AC series has a lot of potential, and some of the games in the series are good, but I really disliked 3, it felt like it wasn't polished at all and rushed in some parts. If we already have a poster, I'm worried AC4 will have the same problem.

I'm more of a solo player, especially when it comes to racing. What you describe makes me think of a very arcady racer, I hope it's the case,I would be really sad to see evolution go the simulator route.

I was so dissapointed when I realized evolution was not working on a motorstorm, I hope drive club will have some craziness to it and not just be a driving simulator.

yeah, weird that this didn't attract more attention on this site, I thought we had quite a few pc gamers around... I know it was on 360 too, but meat boy had more success on pc and edmund worked on the binding of isaac which has its cult following.
I'll agree there were no wow moments in the conference, but I feel like they checked all the boxes they needed to check and laid a great foundation for what's to come, so they can wow us in the future.
great hardware, a very versatile controller, heavy developer support and cloud features the competition can't match really were the only things the PS4 needed.
the lack of a wow factor is also because we've been spoiled by pc gaming, this consol...

I remember seeing it as a cartoony MMO then it resurfaced at an event as an FPS with a very serious art-style, looked a bit like payday. it seemed close to finished, weird that it didn't ship.
and these are tacked on features! Imagine what can be done with a game thought out from the beginning to support the gamepad.

Are you sure the PS4 only has the 8gigs? I thought the GPU had it's own memory and then there's the 8gigs on top of it.
