kratos already killed his brother... willingly
oh yes! I've been trying for so long to get my starcraft/dota playing friends to try out aom, if it's remastered they'll have no more excuse.
you don't even have an old laptop lying around?
Am I the only one to think that lighting in games is overrated? I'm fine with texture lighting, I don't think that having it be dynamic or realistic adds much.
good shaders do look quite good, but it seems like so much work goes into lighting when it really doesn't add much
agriculture? was that even in simcity4? wasn't it just a low level industrial building?
I'm scared about it being paid DLC too.
EA/maxis is aiming for the "recquired hardware" at the back of the box, it should represent the minimum specs to play the entirety of the game, if they aloud bigger maps they would have to change the recquirements at the back of the box.
well, look at them sell more copies than other developpers pushing the bounderies of PC graphics, I personally think it's the better approach to pc gaming, all my favorite pc games run on cheap systems. blizzard got that a long time ago, look at where it got them. Valve is also doind this now.
I still appreciate cutting edge graphics, but I wouldn't complain about every company not pushing for graphics.
EDIT: when I say graphics, I mean "being ab...
I hope it'll be as great as we think! ubisoft is kind of uneven when it comes to the quality their open world titles, they range from rubbish to great.
@technicianTed
ok cool, didn't know at all. In a show I watch there was a joke about people not knowing what lego is anymore, thought there was some truth to it.
are they playing with just the building blocs or is it the "prebuilt" sets?
are kids really into lego these days? I have no clue
don't all games have DRM? it's just well hidden or not
when you think about it, "disgraceful" isn't that strong of a adjective. They were asked their opinion, I guess for once, they didn't do much wrong.
stacking was free on launch with PS+, this is not that surprising.
this is worrying, I hope it's actually better than that.
I actually think the story in AC is horrible, the worst among AAA franchises.
for a long time I've been really good at playing all my games, some I didn't finish, but at least I would have got a lot out of the experience. recently, though, I've started gathering many games I've never even launched, damn you PS+ and steam sales!
you should really finish RDR, it's one of the only games that has a really good ending.
@knowyourstuff:
I wish I could be that disciplined, but it just feels to good owning a great game on release day, and feeling like you're discovering the game at the same time as everyone else.
both games end with the hero having to make a binary choice coming out of no where. after the choice, the hero ends up dying by being sucked up into some kind of light (there is a variation in color, though). the choices can be summed up by: 1. let everything die your firends included, but then, the people left are free 2. not everything dies, your friends survive, but everything still sucks.
the only difference would be that in AC3 the choice is made for you, hence me saying...
such good technology? this was rather poor... to a point to which I doubt it's even blizzard who made it.
but yes, I want a starcraft movie at the quality of their cinematics
