receiving 5 units, plus preorders, there are probably close to 30. I have 2 stores about 20 miles apart near me, they both had well over 30 with pre-orders each. 7 non-preorder at each.
I think it is pretty clearly the best hardware, in fact, I would say by a pretty large margin, though if you can only buy one console, I think it is getting pretty tough not to choose the PS4 or pro based on the releases the last 2 years (thought they were pretty even before that software wise)
Odyssey is not over-rated AT ALL, I think it is easily the best 3d platformer I have played, if you don't like 3d platformers, then fine, but that doesn't make it over-rated.

The resolution is the only real noticeable part to me, obviously there are some VERY minor lighting improvements on the puddles and the shadows are VERY slightly better on PS4 Pro. Actually much smaller change than expected. Other than that, the only difference seems to be the brightness on PS4 pro is higher, which can be changed pretty easily. That said, looks great in both instances.
NBA Live 18 is easily the better looking game, though, I do think the proportions to some of their faces are a bit wonky (despite looking more realistic) compared to the real people.

Eh, They should just call it parkour mercenary's creed now IMO, I feel like it looks a lot less fun now that the stealth has taken a backseat and the fighting looks terrible as far as I can see.
I think they really messed up actually. I feel like it is not different enough to attract anyone who didn't like the old and too different to keep the fanbase interested. (obviously there will be exceptions to that, just speaking generally)
This game is so overhyped, IMO. Everyone always talks about the great mechanics, but I think there are MANY shooters that are far superior, in fact, I would say most are. Guess I am just missing something.
Seems everyone here is only interested in the game to the extent it allows them to brag about their console of choice, more than the game itself.
Sure the PC version looks better than PS4/XB1, but the game hardly looks that great. Almost every other modern FPS looks multiple times better.
watched on a 390dpi phone screen and can see a marked difference, so it is much more than simply a resolution bump, but that is not really a knock on the PS4Pro version, just more a show of how well Square enix polished game.
Man, this is a freaking pretty game. Too bad, the new direction of the gameplay is not my cup of tea. Loved the assassin/stealth gameplay, that is basically gone now.
For 2014/15, they would have an argument, but their '16/'17 lineup has been pretty minimal.
If it is a new PS4 or PS5, they will be shooting themselves in the foot, really hard. That said, if it is hardware, would love to see a revamped PSVR, maybe wireless and with a better tracking and motion controller system.
I personally think the price is pretty decent for a mobile gaming platform. Also, I have really enjoyed the game line-up so far. Actually really surprised how much I have enjoyed it.
I use it almost exclusively at home, but it is nice to be able to play in bed or just around the house easily.
Uh, yea it is called reviewing a game on it's content and value. How about not preordering every damn game and whining that a review reflects the games content rather than launch connectivity issues.
The same sites reviewing the game will also write articles about connectivity issues at launch, if you are so concerned about issues that probably won't happen, then why not wait to see if there are issues and check before you buy it?
It was better than I think it got credit for, but it really wasn't that great of a game, the story was decent, the pace was terrible and the gameplay itself was actually not bad, but man the AI and cover system was a bit off. I personally found it to be a 7/10, if I had to put a number on it.
That said, I wouldn't mind a sequel, but would be just as happy with them trying something new too.
