Greedy investors. They just can't wait for Nintendo's stock to pop. Nintendo has a lot going on other than mobile games. These investors are just as bad for gaming as publishers.

I'm in my late 30's and remember the NES & SNES very well. Still have my NES & SNES with a nice library games for both. This is a big reason the Wii U is the best Nintendo home console. Big money companies are ruining the game industry. At least indie games is giving developers the choice to break away from publicishers. Publicishers are only after money and not a great product at launch. Its the sad truth about the industry.
Its still a must have console for me and IMO its Nintendo's best home console.
Gamers:
Don't buy Ubisoft games at launch. This game will $20 next month.
Even if you did, you won't be able to use gamepad controls. When it does come to the VC it will, but physical disc still won't.

After watching Nintendo's E3 earlier this year. They seem not to give anyone a new reason to purchase a Wii U.

You missed it. K-mart had the PS4 for $199 for one weekend a couple months ago. Target even price match it.
Nintendo's website has the Wii U for $225 with 3D Mario & Nintendoland. Guess that $25 is a deal breaker.

That's because Nintendo games age very well. Nintendo knows that most people have a few Nintendo games they love and want to play. That's also why they only make one or two games of their titles each gen and not once or twice a year. Their games have long leg even at full price it's whole retail life. I've gotten want I wanted out of my Wii U. They have supported it enough. IMO They could've done more, but 20 games with high quality is enough to purchase the Wii U. The gamepad is the way to indies games. How I wish I could play all my free indie games from PS+ & GWG on the gamepad.

Shovel knight was inspired by Nintendo games from the golden age of Nintendo. That's the main reason it sold better on the Wii U. Like you said make games that fit the console. That goes the same for making games that appeal to the audience of console.
I'm just thankful for the indie games! It's truely saving gaming!
They would make Sony & MS a killing with the royalties Nintendo would have to hand over. Nintendo would lose a lot of money going 3rd party.
