All three consoles are worth purchasing. The question is what are you going to purchase first. I've purchased all three and I'm about to purchase a second X1 (Halo 5 Bundle).
As long as the console is being supported who cares about sales? If you have all three consoles; you don't noticed software drought at all.
Why do gamers without an X1 point out software droughts ...
This game is one of reasons I have all three systems. Rare Replay, Halo MCC, Titanfall are also must have games for X1.

I agree with 2, 3, & 4.
1)Is what make Nintendo unique. Not all of their designs turn out to be gimmicks, which are then adopted by other companies. Apple is adopting the gamepad with the Apple TV 4. They don't view it as a gimmick. Now, I can't wait for the next Sony & MS consoles, because they'll adopt the gamepad as well.

I really hope the NX still has the gamepad! The Apple TV 4 will play games and has a touchscreen controller. Looks like one of Nintendo's gimmicks has been adopted by a new company (Apple) coming to the console market. You heard it here first the next Sony & MS consoles will have a gamepad.

BC is not easy. I know Nintendo recently stated they are working on BC to make it easier and less time consuming. Hopefully the NX will release with full BC with all systems.
I can't wait for November for BC. At least I have Rare Replay to hold me over until then. I bet I'll forget about BC when Halo 5 comes out though.
What about Super Mario Maker? That releases on 9/11.

The X1 is the one that I'm double dipping on, because of the Halo 5 bundle. Sorry Sony fanboys I'm inflating the X1 console figures. The PS4 is still my choice for multiplat games though.

The real winner is My gaming experience with all three consoles.
My gaming needs are Nintendo games, Halo, Uncharted, and third party games. The biggest disappointment this Gen is storage space.
Nintendo has mentioned that it is difficult for port games from one console to the next. This is problem that they are trying to fix and hopefully it will be fixed with the NX. Just imagine the NX at launch with backwards capability for GC, Wii, Wii U and all VC games.
Back on type. I don't care what console Rare Replay is on. As I have all three consoles.

It's not a tablet. The Gamepad is a controller with a touch screen.
