They could also go for 4 plus TFLOP at $400.
The Wii U is one of my favorite consoles.
DLC is what the industry is using to combat high development cost. We live in a world with HD graphics and the media throws every game under the bus for it's flaws. The day DLC dies, is the same day The $100 game launch price will be born.
Zelda U is where Nintendo realized the limitations of the Wii U. This has caused them to move their original vision of Zelda U over to NX. Nintendo is now working on two Zelda games, one for Wii U and the other for NX. Hopefully Zelda U won't feel like filler, like some of the 2015 titles were.
I second that!
Halo has always been my shooter game. I've been playing splatoon a lot more than Halo 5. Both are a lot of fun, I just take Halo way too serious.
Splatoon is even fun when your the worst player on the field.
When Nintendo stop producing the Wii U. It will become an instant classic. The virtual consoles makes it the best console for Nintendo fans.
The library has become very nice over the years. Yes, it doesn't have third party games to fill in the dry areas of the calendar. Now, people that purchased the Wii U at launch are out of titles to play if it's their only console. Most Wii U owners either have a 3ds, PS4, or X1, if not all three.
Bottom line there has been a number times over the Wii U history where I would have regretted not having one. Mario Kart 8, Smash, Bayonetta 2, Xenoblade X, Mario Maker, Spla...
Didn't Sony and Microsoft snub platinum games with financial support for bayonetta 2. The game wouldn't exist, but Nintendo stepped in and backed it.
That's the reason my TV has all three hooked up to it!!!
The power of three consoles makes third party games almost seem irrelevant.
There easily could've been an extra dungeon that was left out of the original release. I'm not sure if that's the case, but it wouldn't surprise me.
This re-release also fixes the number one complaint about the game. Motion controls!!! Now you have the option for standard controls.
Hopefully you can purchase third party games on NX. That is if Nintendo doesn't drop the opportunity on NX being the best console for multiplat games, until PS5 & X2 arrive.
Nintendo could have a new Mario Galaxy game that has been announced, but if that the case it could be any NX launch title.
VR needs OLED plixels which are very expensive. I don't see how a VR headset could cost less than $499 and that's just the headset.
Its not too late. Especially if NX has enough power to easly hit 1080p@60fps with no sacrifices. This will save third-party developers a ton of development time and will give NX the best console version of every multiplat game going forward. If the NX can accomplish this with Wii U bc, it will be a huge success.
That line up could double if the NX releases in 2016. Just have a feeling Zelda U will launch on the same day as NX and will be on both consoles. A new Mario Galaxy will also be a launch title.
The big thing that makes VR expensive is the OLED pilexs. There are not many factories that manufacture OLED making it very expensive. OLED is the future and until it mainstream VR will be expensive. VR will help in bringing that price down faster though.
Portable gaming is bigger in Japan, but console gaming is far from dead.
VR is like a personal tv built with OLED pixel which is expensive to manufacture. Sony will be taking a huge lose at 399. If they can do it at that price, would be very impressive.
Duck Hunt was a day one purchase for me. Actually so was Dr. Luigi, which I then saw on sale at half off about four months later.
I just wish Donkey Country 2 was on sale.
