This was announced at PlayStation Experience last month.
So, the app has been downloaded 200 million times but they're only celebrating 2 million downloads? Wat.
Vita owners are coming for Yoshida.
There's not going to be another Sony handheld to buy. That's why they're doing things like this.
When Gravity Rush came out in Japan, Vita sales actually dropped from the prior week. The idea that it's a system seller is daft.
You can't really think Vita and 3DS have a chance at this game, do you? I mean, Capcom doesn't release Vita games and an online Dragon's Dogma on 3DS? Does that sound likely?
Chinese people? I hear there's a lot of them ...
There won't be another Sony handheld.
"Basically it will be the same game like the old version of game, but with new 3D graphics."
Based on that first gameplay footage this isn't a positive. The graphics and performance are worse than they were on Wii.
Velocity 2X is also available on Vita, and if it follows the footsteps of its predecessor, it may be ported to PC and PS3 too ...
The Last of Us Remastered is a PS3 game ... remastered.
Oddworld: New and Tasty has been announced for a bunch of platforms. The studio is small so the only one that made it out in 2014 was the PS4 version.
By this time next year the game will be on PSV, PS4 and probably PS3 and iOS. It's a visual novel, so it's not like it has some huge technical requirements, and previous games in this series have taken the same strategy. 5pb. just took Microsoft's money for timed exclusivity.
We get weekly sales data. PS3 has sold 10.1 million units in Japan as of December 21st.
It makes perfect sense. They don't want to be in the handheld business anymore, so they're purposely trying to kill Vita. They've stopped trying to get third party support, no longer develop notable games for it and they're no longer pushing attractive bundles to consumers.
Must hurt Sony to see Vita sell more than PS4 this week. The machine they're trying their best to kill still trucks along, though not for long.
PSP was discontinued in June this year, so I imagine the trackers are just waiting until the calendar year ends before they stop tracking it. I must admit, PSP is amusing. One Media Create report had the OG Xbox sell 0 units.
If they're not natively playable on Vita I don't care.
That's more ugly than lovely, IMO.
"Will there be a PSP3?"
"We released a PSP2?!"
I don't own one because I see little reason to own one. I've gotten my fill of Nintendo platformers on 3DS and couldn't care less about Zelda, Fatal Frame and Platinum's games. Xenoblade looks great, but one game isn't worth $200+.
