For the last decade, the "Next-big-thing!" came & gone. Motion, Cloud, now they all talked about VR being the new "Next-big-thing!" The last "Next-big-thing!", i.e. cloud computing, has not been put to go use yet, & companies are moving on now?! (We saw in games like the Shadow of Mordor when cloud gaming is done right.) That's why we the gamers are no longer exciting about all these "Next-big-thing!" any more.
This same notion (dream) of unifying Windows OS with console has been going on for ages now. The issue is that PC spec is not fix. PC game needed to accommodate a wide range of possible setting. I think it will be very difficult to truly unify the 2.
SW Battlefron was discount the 2nd month it was out. We don't see anything like that before or after. I guess that the 1st month sales figure was "ugly".
Compare the sales figures between Multi-player only shooters like Titanfall, Evolve, SW Battlefront vs Single-playable shooters like CoD, The Division, the new Doom, proofed time & time again that Single-playable shooters sell better than multi-player only shooters. Period.
A lot of people said that they play shooter just for their multi-player part. It seems, from the sales figures, those people is the minority.
This situation only hurt Infinite Warfare. No matter how good (or bad) that game may be people will forever associate it as "the game that is sold under the influence of Modern Warfare".
Will there be any titan falling from the sky?
This is the same story for all multi-player only shooters, from Titanfall to Evolve to Star War Battlefront to Rainbow Six Siege. After the 1st month, players (myself include) move on to other things; unless there is some big update, like Destiny did.
This will only hurt the Infinite Warfare, because this seems that Activision is not confident enough to sell Infinite Warfare on its own. Also, this doesn't make any business sense. I guess that 6 to eight months later Modern Warfare WILL BE sold separately.
No! That THING increase the price, development time of games, lower the (already under-power) performance of the hardware. There is no use for that THING outside the US.
The real question should be: does Konami still care? I think the answer is No they don't.
Isn't everyone done that as well?
20 hours to go!!!!!!! (from UTC +8 time zone)
I'm at Asia BST+8 time zone. So I can only play after Wednesday morning. ......
Just look at the populity of Titanfall & Evolve. Both are great multiplayer games, but their populity wine after the 1st month.
Capcom has made too much money because of this game.
It seems that Horizon2 has become the popular platform for car-related promotions. First we have the 2014 Lamborghini Huracan (before the "D" game), then we got 2015 the all new Mazdza MX-5; now we have a free game for a car movie.
MS, now finally I can forgive what you've said & done in 2013 !
The negative all BECAUSE the focus on TV. So this Emmy seems more like an embarrassment than complement.
All sane developer/publisher have tour their best game-mechanism as best as they can. On one ever thought that part as spoiler. Just look at WB/ Monolith talk about their Nemesis system for months before the release of the Shadow of Mordor.
So I guess Sony really think the the graphic is the best to offer in the Order.
But it is the developer that fail to meet the development mile stones. It is the developer that fail to deliver the product that it promised to Sony + PS4 owners in the 1st place.
This dream of "Cross-MS" again?!?! There are 2 issues of this dream: performance & cost. How do MS be sure that the game in this eco-system can preform across different PC & XBOX, both in terms of network speed & hardware power? This is one of the main reason XBOX is losing to PS4, because we gamer WANT SPEED!!!!!!!!! We don't want our game to be less power then the next system.
Also, do I buy the game once & can play on any system I like? I don't t...
