Surely that fact the I and a few other people (several million or so), updated to both 3.0 and then 3.1 when they were released and still have no issue (even though our consoles are well out of warranty) sort of disputes that the updates were the cause ?

I don't think i've seen anyone try and pass it off as a literary masterpiece, but have said that 'for a videogame' it is very good - which is starting from a very low level.
Should they be criticised for having a story that's been done before or praised for doing it better and in a very entertaining way.
Personally, it one of the few games recently that i've not skipped through the cutscenes.
Sorry, but not every piece of entertainment needs some deeper meaning and try and ...

Seriously, are there dumb folk that visit this site or what ??
The title is not intended as 'flame bait' or any other small-minded, petty, console biased ulterior motive - it's to draw you into the article.
You see it, think 'Demon Souls, boring ? hmm, that's not what i heard', then read the article and go, oh yeah, i see what he did there, hmm interesting article... and move on.
If you read any other sort of journalism, you might notice that it's not that uncommon to have p...

It edged out Uncharted 2, as this was PESs first week and U2s second.

PES is also 'traditionally' more of a PS franchise, as it's always been on a PlayStation since its ISS days (and obviously built up a fan base, myself included), but has been more sparodic on other platforms - NOTE. That is just an observation, nothing more.

UK PS3s have been able to use Playtv for over a year - which allows you to use your PS3 as a freeview box (i.e. all the main UK channels) and hard disc recorder - which you can also view through remote play on your PSP.
This costs a one off cost of about £60 (and i've seen it cheaper)..

they're changing to a courier service rather than relying on Royal Mail - doesn't automatically mean you'll get the game any earlier...

yep, Tony, people like you..
'They' never said anything of the sort. As it says in the blurb, Mike replied to a comment in last weeks update about it being pretty sparse (no demos, a bit of dlc and a few trailers) and that this weeks would be 'mammoth in comparison' - which it is.
'They' didn't decide that that meant half the PS1 catalogue would show up, B/wards compatibility would suddenly return, cross-game chat would appear, Christ would return... or any of the other bits of wi...

And ASDA wont stock as wide a range of games as the specialist stores and just stick to shelves full of cheap, licensed shovelware - which means the shovelware will sell more, EA/Activision will make more of it at the expense of more riskier titles.
Less high-profile titles become more of a risk, so they either don't bother or they'll turn out more expensive.

if you thought getting games like Valkyria Chronicles was hard now...

taking a throwaway comment and trying to make something of it..
All that will come out of it is some people will start speculating what is coming - which, in the way of the interwebs, will become 'fact' - and then get overly, obsessively disappointed when 'mammoth' turns out to mean twice as much DLC for Hannah Montana...

Seriously, Mike does a good job of responding to the comments about PSN and giving as much feedback as he can. He seems to be already self-censoring himse...

I've just read the piece in the Star and it's hardly a 'rage'!
From the tone of it, and the general readership of the Star, it's more of an advert

does seem fairly straightforward, time aside. Especially if there's no limit on difficulty.

As for 35m goal - you'd probably pick that up naturally at some point, but if not try a multi-player game and have the other player move the 'keeper out the way for you.

Why buy a company with the aim of cutting its profits by about two thirds ?
MS could probably afford to buy it in the first instance, but surely the costs of turning a multi-platform giant into catering for just one machine would just make it dumb.
It'd be cheaper to set up a new company and 'lure' the talent away.

I'm confused...
In the same show they said it's fine to trust some back street amateurs to fix your console (even if after a few days it breaks again)
but in the case of your health you should only trust a professional.

Part of the point of Sonys letter was that YLOD has a variety of causes and treating it the same every time is careless and in a lot of cases wont resolve it.

P.s. 4 out of the original 11 Watchdog fixed, failed again within a week - so n...

R* north has been responsible for all the GTA games, which is what they're known for.
GTA III, the one that really set them up and became the open-world game everyone's tried to copy since, was done after Jones left - not saying he's not talented, but to suggest the team without him are poor is a little myopic.
You might not have played a R* North game since, but millions have.

I was also a little underwhelmed by GTA IV. There's no denying it's a quality game, it was ...
