The author could do with looking up a certain company called Lik-sang.
Sony do do a lot of things right for us gamers, but they aren't whiter than white by any means.
(and region-free or not, it's still a pain in the backside finding sites who will export to the UK.)
@soldierone. happy days.... Disgaea 3 Return has not long been confirmed for PSVita.
Ok, so i made a comment on the story about the poor girl yesterday and how the Sun had been misrepresented by the way it was portrayed on here.
Thanks to the Sun for righting that wrong and reverting to type with the hysterical, inane headline it used for this story.
Condolensces to the family, first and foremost.
It's not usually in my nature to give the benefit of the doubt to the current bun, but the headline on this site doesn't represent the actual artical at all.
For a start, the 'playing too much xbox' quote isn't even mentioned.
To me, it seems more of using the 360 as a touchstone about normality. i.e. that a young 13 year old was doing something quite ordinary when the tragic event occured. <...
Downloadable prices are always going to be close to RRP at launch so as not to pi** off 'bricks and mortar' retailers - who still hold significant sway and power when it comes to marketing, etc.
Until the majority of buyers start changing their habits, don't expect any changes.
@Kakihara
If i read such a review for UC3, i'd question the sense in giving that editor the review to start with - especially if it was from a 'major' site.
If that was the authors honest opinion about it, then there's nothing wrong with the validity of the review itself.
Did they state they were from the Wii U version ? No.
Most of the trailers were pre-rendered CGI anyway, so it wouldn't make much odds which version they were.
As an aside, I assume you also believe every multi-platform developer makes identical trailers for PSN and Xboxlive using PS3 and 360 footage exclusively each time... ?!?!
Tomb raider and Thief 4 aren't on the list either.
Though nothing was confirmed, TR appeared to be coming this xmas, but i guess not... (or maybe they don't believe it's a 'key title' anymore).
I was under the impression PSN is (or at least was) a worldwide service - i.e. everywhere is on or off at the same time.
Hence when scheduled maintenance occurs it's always in the evening here in the UK/Europe - if they could turn our section off independently surely they'd pick a quieter time.
Really ? This is all you've got to moan about ?
Seriously ?
Even at the outset the most you were getting the game was probably a day or two early - and if you couldn't work that out surely playing Portal would be beyond you anyway....
And i assume Gabe wasn't stood over you with a gun at your head making you buy the 'collection of games at a HUGE discount.'
How about you swap the pic of Gabe at the top of the piece and repl...
There a small developer, so they probably haven't got the resources to develop for several platforms, especially if they're not sure how it'll turn out.
Given some of the positive feedback they've been getting, it might be worth their while.
Do these morons not realise that every time they do dumbass stuff like this they're playing into the hands of those in government who'd love to nail down and restrict the net as much as possible - and, more than likely, cost us more to use in the process.
@TVippy,
exactly.
And the 1 'games' unveiled is one which EA ships out on every platform it can.
I think i might wait for a proper EA announcement before i start getting too excited.
@oohwii
You do realise, you're missing out a great big chunk of the globe with your figures.
e.g. Australia, India, South Korea, etc...
@cyborg
I, personally, haven't looked at the article purely for the fatuous headline.
If it had read something along the line of, 'Games industry hit by Japan tragedy' or suchlike then i might've expected a level, respectful article about how the manufacturers and developers were coping.
But, i expect from the headline that it'll be something written by someone with no actual incite from thousands of miles away using pure conjecture (and as such, pr...
IGNs review of Killzone 3 - 8.5 (85%)
Current metacritic rating - 86%
Can't speak for the 'gaming audience' myself, but with regards to the other reviews out there it appears to be about average.
especially if you change the xbox name into symbols;
X - box (Square) - 360 (circle) - all you need now is a triangle....
dun dun daaaaaaar
I know all you lot who're upset about the score (and IGNs alleged bias) bear in mind that UK PS3 mag 'PSM3' had a review in the issue that came out today.... 80% (overall: visually epic with stunning 3d, but some daft plot and one-note thrills)
p.s. they also have an excellent feature on the new SSX:DD
Technically, that's someone at Visceral saying they wouldn't be averse to getting the franchise on more platforms rather than an official announcement.
But, it's surely only a matter of time before EA joins the already huge list of those supporting it.
It doesn't actually state the track is in the UK. It just says the contestants will be racing DC on the console at the same time he drives.
The UK restriction may just be down to the promoter.
Having said that, didn't Clarkson and co. use to refer to the top gear track as a secret location.
