2011 will be the same way. Numerous more quality first party exclusives on PS3 and some better multi-plat versions of(Mortal Kombat and Portal coming up, Dead Space released).

same reason I did, Galaxy, Zelda, Metroid, DK, Kirby, and games like Madworld and Conduit 2 - thats about it.

Great deal, too bad I already bought a TV and have not jumped on the 3D wagon quite yet, but this is a solid deal

There are way to many games this year. Numerous multiplats that I am getting (some on 360, some on PS3). Numerous PS3 xclusives, Gears for 360. Not much on the Wii for me, Maybe Conduit 2 and Zelda if it comes out this year.

I gave up on this demo - downloaded it multiple times and it always froze up on me before the match started. Sucks, I really wanted to check it out.

First, this is not a great list. I am looking forward to Gears and maybe Kingdom (need more info on it) - Not really a Forza fan so that does no do much for me.

Kinect games - I highly doubt all these will be released this year and they really do not do anything for me.

Exclusives - I am pretty sure at E3 they will show Halo 1 remake or HD version for release this year. But what else? Does 343 only have the ability to do a Halo game? Rare?? They paid so...

I think a 60 price for a short SP and no MP was a downfall for this game. Sure it looks good, plays ok, (based off the demo), but in this economy and with the number of quality games that released at the same time and since, it was not worth it to the consumer.

I personally think Nintendo will be first, quickly followed by MS. I think Sony will have a price drop, but will be last.

No one single console developer is the future of gaming. Gamers are the future of gaming.

I would argue if we want to pick a console, then all have a hand in the future. Nintendo got the casual really into it. Sony pushes the envelope in tech and fits the needs of the core gamer. MS is lost right now - sorry but they are. The first few years of the 360 they were all about the core, last year or so, focus on casual abandoning a majority of their console owners.

I'm with you guys - at first, i did not pay attention to this game, but tried the demo. I enjoyed the demo. It is kinda in your face and immature, sure, but the controls were solid and game looked good. I can say it may be repetitive based off the demo, but if you can pick it up for 40ish or have a couple games to trade in to bring down the price, I think it will be worth it.

Never been a handheld guy - but the videos of the games on this system look AMAZING. 300 would be the sweet spot to hit the affordable tag. However, I believe it will sell well up to 400 and I expect this to be 350 on release.

Like some other users - demo is not working for me either. Downloaded on Tuesday, tried about 6 times to get into a match and each time it freezes on the load screen before the match. I deleted it today, downloaded it again, tried it 2 times, and same issue. I am going to try it again later in the week and see how it goes.

Disagree with a lot of this list - but the biggest question is where is Crackdown 2?

Article makes some good points and some really stupid ones.
First, i would not call the dreamcast a failure - commercial failure yes, but for people who actually purchased the console, you could say it was tech wise outstanding and really had some features ahead of its time.

Second, Sony is not going to stop gaming just because of security issues - really, that is a stretch.

One thing that I really did agree with was the fact MS is abandoning the...

Before the demo - i did not pay much attention to this game and was really putting this as a pass.

After playing the demo, i must admit i enjoyed it. I thought the gameplay and controls were good, graphics were ok (nothing spectacular, but not horrible either), but it was fun and this is now a possible purchase

Anyone else have issues with the demo? - Not getting into any matches and when it finally does (for me at least), it freezes - been happening for 45 minutes now - no other issues with online games

This is a great article with some solid points. Motion gaming without controls just does not work for the types of games gamers want - it's great for exercise, dance, or novelty sports games, but not to what core gamers want. I know they wanted to tap into the Wii crowd, and that is fine, but they forgot what drove the console in the first couple years - exclusives

Article mentions 7 exclusives, compared to over 20 for the PS3. In the end, exclusives drive sales and ...

I thought MS would show a new system this year at E3 for a 2012 release, but with Kinect making them $$$$ - i doubt it. Honestly, if they want to go past 2012 with the current model, they need to somehow address the DVD limitation issue.

Playstation - I dont think we will hear anything until at least E3 - 2013. System has the brute power and tech to last that long.

Nintendo - they are stuck, but they need to do something. I complain about the Xbox usin...

Dont hate me XBOX fanboys, but this article does make a lot of good points. MS has been behind in a few things - wifi, HDMI, HDDVD, RROD, etc. To their credit, they did add these things to newer models and the RROD has improved.

However, Sony fans need to give MS some credit here. Yes I know online service is paid, but it is very good and the PSN is striving to provide the same type of experience (whether free or not). I know the past 18 months have not seen a lot of ex...

These comparisons are lame - like a majority of multi-plats, they generally look the same with minor differences. But fanboys pick out a shadow here, framerate there, light effect there - Pointless. As a dual console owner, I never can understand the unrelenting loyalty to a brand to nitpick screen shots for such a minor difference.

PS fanboys - just be happy to play a great game
360 fanboys - who cares if the PS3 version looks better or whatever - you have alrea...
