BF4 - reserved for next gen console. For me it is just a better game overall - better looking, better team based multiplayer, not everyone just running around concerned about their K/D ratio or people just campin
I would not not say huge - My perspective it was a combination of things
1 - Sony - Sony has a more powerful system (like this generation) but MS does not have the price advantage this time around. I do like their features that the PS4 does not have, but they are not enough when combined with the DRM and policy issues
2 - Pre-order sales for the XB1 were ok, but essentially being outsold 2-3 times by the PS4 - with these changes, it will help MS, but I do be...
I understand the studios point of view - do not misunderstand and I support them buy buying only new - yes I trade in games for credit, but always buy new because generally the difference is 5-10 dollars.
I understand their point that I may or do not own what is on the disc - but I own the disc and can do what I want with that disc, I can burn it, break it, sell it, or whatever. It is up to them to protect their content on the disc that is my only point. They have options a...
I will agree Forza over Driveclub
Dead Rising looks great, but not as great as Infamous - Sorry
Comparing Ryse and Knack is a little unfair - Different games, so I can not say one is greater than the other - I can say I would rather play Ryse if I had that choice
Titanfall is not greater than KZ - maybe one can argue it plays better, but definitely does not look better - It looks fun, but honestly I do not understand all the Titan hype - game...
What I dont understand is why studios are attacking the people who buy their games in terms of us re-selling or trading them in - They have options
First - Make Badass games we do not want to trade in - there is an option
Second - Go after Gamestop - boycott them or do something if used gaming gets under your skin so much
Third - Go back to online passes
Fourth - Shut up, wow me with games and great DLC that games want and w...
Good - now drop the kinect mandatory and create a Core Console without it so the price can be more competitive - simply put, it is hard to justify a 100$ higher price tag because the system is less powerful - I dont care about the TV bells and whistles.
I don't think people are hating just to hate - sure there are some who hate to hate for both PS and XB - the issues are the policies
First - Online check in - every 24hrs is the issue - I would not mind it as much if it were say weekly - daily is a little extreme for a gaming console - I understand why they went this direction - they just went too far (IMO)
Second - They, along with Sony said they will leave the entire used gaming up to the developers/pu...
I do worry about companies like Activision enforcing a used game ban even with the PS4 - think about it, MS has made it very easy for them to block used games, I can't imagine them using it for one console but not the other. For example, they could easily put an activation code with every PS4 game and the user would not be able to play the game until the code is activated - That is the only thing I worry about with the PS4, however, we do know their first party games will not have that i...
Ok - I understand that part of the policy - like many, I prefer the actual disc - however, this still doesn't explain the used gaming market clearly - that is what I am completely confused about, not to mention the actual rental market.
This is true - at least locally for me. My sister wanted me to reserve one for her kids - I went to 3 gamestops - all were still taking PS4 reservations, but none for the XB1 - Each store told me they were allotted a small number of XB1 consoles when compared to Sony.
Not sure if this is MS trying to sell an illusion of demand or if they really do not think they have the ability to meet the demand - however, they lost her sale because of it - she listened to me and went wit...
Really - It is under-delivered - seriously, lets look at it objectively
1 - System is underpowered when compared to the PS4 - that is a simple fact - it is more powerful than the Wii U, but nearly double the price
2 - Used gaming requirements is just completely confusing
3 - While Kinect 2.0 may be much better than the original, forcing it on all is the issue
4 - XBL can no longer say it is much more advanced than the PS, and PS+ offers more value in t...
Are they gonna announce a price and release date - thank god for the no online and friendly used gaming policy - but I must say the show was kinda disappointing - a lot of timed DCL multiplat games
The show overall was better than I expected, I guess that is a good thing considering the last 2-3 E3's that MS had that were just not very good for core gaming. Didnt MS state they had 15 MS Studio exclusives due in year 1 of the XB1? I did not see that many at E3
Some of the exclusive games were interesting
Ryse looked good, not sure about all the timed button pushing, hopefully that is not the overall play of the game, but I do understand some thinking this ...
Price is a little on the high side, unless the PS4 is priced the same. I will say that the show was better than I expected considering the past few E3's for MS.
They should not have started the show with a multiplat - that should have been shown with the other multiplats (BF4, Witcher, etc).
Ryse looked very good as did Forza and having Titan as an exclusive is good - and Killer Instinct could be great. Overall a B, nothing higher because of the price p...
So sad - one of two things are the reason for this
1 - E3 conference will be exactly like the console reveal conference with no real answers to the questions about used gaming/rentals/trading etc, internet check in, and the always on Kinect
OR
2 - They will provide clear answers and they will be what we fear - used game blocking, at least a daily internet check in (probably some kind of major hassle if one does not do the check in) and the fa...
While some of the comments are harsh and are just fanboys dumping on - the general critics are correct in questioning the system
MS could still have the exact same system and functions but could calm the people if they did the following
1 - Instead of a 24HR internet check in - make it weekly, where the user can set up a specific day and time of the week and the system can automatically power on, do the check in, and power off
2 - Kinect is ...
They should worry - My XBL account is due to renew on 6/24 and I will not be renewing as I have no plans to purchase the XB1 because of the numerous issues discussed on various forums - and I was a 10 year customer. I will just stick with the PS4, I do not need a glorified cable box - I can hit the input button quite easily on my remote and I have not played one game that benefited from Kinect.
Funny that everyone else is to blame but themselves. I supported MS with the first Xbox and the 360, but they should blame themselves on this one. Core gamers are not stupid or unaware, they are the early adopters of new consoles, not the casual, therefore, they were paying attention at the console reveal and did not like what they say from a core gaming perspective.
I do believe both consoles will do well in time, However, I do believe the PS4 will do better this holiday season. Early console adopters tend to be core gamers, not the casual or mild gamer. With that in mind, I do believe the PS4 does offer more for the core crowd. I know for me, PS4 is the only system I will get this holiday season, we will see next year on the XB1.
This is the first Nintendo console I have not bought - Wii just disappointed me.
For me, right now my perspective is that it looks bad for Nintendo - somebody please correct me if I am wrong, but my issues are
Online - at least for the Wii it was horrible (anyone ever try smash brothers wii online?) and a few people I know whom own the Wii U say it is not much better
System - Overall this console is just weak, it is not next gen. I know fanb...
