1. Price
2. Wii clone games - bottom line is that it is very difficult to have a true core game without any type of controller - you will see MS start having hybrid games using Kinect and a controller -
People will buy it and it will sell which disappoints me because MS will think its a hit and continue to push this type of crap out - this money should have been invested into first party developers and they should have saved this for the next XBOX which most likely...
checked out the demo - its alright but PS3 users are not missing anything special. I got bored pretty quick with the demo.
Nice numbers, but they may be inflated. (somewhat)
Example - many people I know whom had the RROD just went and bought a new 360 instead of contacting MS, waiting for a shipping label, sending it out, waiting for them to fix it, and mail it back
I am hoping this game is good - but it is not close to GOW
Agree on Scribblenauts and Black and White. Kinda liked Uno on XBL.
Game looks kinda lackluster - will get the conduit 2 to fill my FPS needs for the wii.
Overall - it was an OK game - already sold mine, but i enjoyed it while i had it. Overall game was solid, nothing stood out but nothing was really horrible either. I would have scored it around a 7.5 - For some reason, i found the online very buggy when races were 20 people. As far as sales wise, you wouldnt think there would be a sequel, but in terms of quality, the foundation is there and a sequel can be made off that.
Kinect has potential - but probably not a realistic thing until late 2011. People will need time with the tech and the tech will improve. This is the problem with MS - they are either behind the tech or a little ahead. 360 was not developed for future gaming - hence all the remakes and remodels and no BD. Now Kinect seems to be laggy without any real core gaming aspects.
Good read - I own Singularity, overall, its a solid game and I would recommend to all to play it if they have not. However, its not on the same level as the first Bioshock was - its just below that and that is not a slight on the game. Activison should have really done a better job in advertising this game - its a solid 8-8.5. In my opinion, worth 60$ and that is a rare statement these days.
Overall - solid list. Glad to see Metroid Prime for the Wii on it - a great game. We can all argue that Halo should be this number or Killzone should be this number, or this should be on the list, but we have seen much worse lists then this one. This appears to have had some time and thought put into.
360 is limited by DVD format - anyone whom cant agree with that are kidding themselves
We are talking about the PS3 exclusives here - and anyone whom can honestly say Uncharted 2 is not a technically amazing game is fooling themselves. Multiplats however, are just as good on the 360 because thats the way they are being developed. From what we see, its easier to think Splinter Cell conviction could be made on the PS3 without modification, while its hard to imagine Uncharte...
Ocarina of Time
Agree with most of this. Crackdown, i played it, thankfully i didnt have to pay for it - its ok - around a 7 is fair, kinda disappointing though.
Singularity - i own it - enjoy it, the 8 ballpark is correct in my opinion.
In terms of E3 - my opinion, they got it right.
Nintendo was best, minus the Zelda demo which was a wreck
PS was second - great show, some blockbusters, but it was too long and too much talk (especially the first half)...
Who cares, gamers enjoy gaming. Loyalty to a brand or system that is not giving you money or paying your bills is pointless.
Now to answer the question - depends on what you want.
Wii - cheap system (in terms of price), simple to use, not very advanced in terms of processing power, HD, DVD, BD, etc.
360 - great online community and features. Extensive game library for any genre you want.
PS3 - Best exclusives, most ...
The extra year really helped Sony on this one. This extra year allowed the system to have Blu Ray, Wi-Fi built in, 3-D tech, and if all are honest, it is the most future proof system. No need to buy expensive add-ons since everything is pretty much built in. Now, i can agree that it was a little expensive and the early library left a lot to be desired.
MS had to release first. They needed strong sales this generation to put their footprint into the gaming world as a via...
Have it - it was ok, not great.
Visuals were ok, but nothing spectacular
Power-ups - kinda lame
Online - buggy and laggy at times
Release time was horrible - some pretty good games came out around the same time period. However, even if it came out earlier, I dont believe it would have done much better -
Came out at a bad time with other blockbuster games. Sometimes laggy online. One player experience was short and pretty easy - split screen is nice as it seems so many games now a days dont even bother with that.
Not worth 60, but it you can get under 40, its solid.
This is a solid game - just completed it tonight - while not a blockbuster or perfect game, people whom didnt play this are missing out. MS did not do a great job in advertising this game.
not excited about bulletstorm
Flash point - not interested
Grid - greatly interested
