People wanted more story driven games, so now they tell stories about people.
Trust me I play games for the gameplay, I hate heavy story driven games, I would rather watch a movie or read a book. But Gamers have spoken, story driven games are doing very well and with that comes more than just "Top 10 best Sports games" because now your sports game has a narrative and story.
That's a smart joke... I like that.
Yeah because no one does that already.
Though generally speaking I agree with you, there is a need for competition. I don't want only one brand of cars to buy, I want multiple brands fighting for my money. I don't want a take it or leave it solution I want companies trying to make what I want.
I like that Sony, MS and Nintendo exist and all compete. Would it save me money, possibly but it might also mean no innovation because there is no competition.
I personally think cross platform p...
So because it doesn't affect you, they shouldn't do it?
What about others who prefer to play games with others? This is beneficial to them and affects you zero so why do you feel the need to stand in the way of those who this would benefit?
Assuming I understand what you are saying how is that any different than how it is now?
If only we had the technology in a game to allow teams to talk to each other... Oh wait!
How do you think you are able to only talk to your team now? Why would it be any different crossplatform?
The minority here is the people who don't want it. But you would know that if you read the article.
8% don't want it
34% want it
Over 1/3 of gamers want it why can't they speak up about it?
Well I guess that's one way to interpret those numbers. All I saw was good news there for cross platform play.
I still find it funny that they asked if you would buy a game you weren't planning on buying if it's crossplatform... No of course not!
Give it time.
Lol "Pride month is here"
Pride month just ended.
You literally just posted the same comment that we are already talking about from TRION WORLDS... Just so we are clear that is not Sony. Sony also did not provide a comment when asked about crossplay with Defiance.
"When did Sony approach MS about Crossplay? I'll wait..." ...Still waiting.
@RauleCreuset
You skipped timelines, the comment was based off of MS statement last gen, Sony said that this gen after throwing out two other terrible excuses.
Being an executive and being in charge are two totally different things. He wasn't in charge.
@trooper
When did Sony approach MS about Crossplay? I'll wait...
For one it says "currently" and two the entire regime from the head of the Xbox division to the CEO has changed at MS since that statement.
Also Sony chose not respond to the request about allowing Crossplay at the time.
I thought Exclusives sold consoles. What market share would Sony be giving up?
These type of comments just prove Sony is holding a share of the market hostage. If people had a choice of any console and to play with their friends they wouldn't choose PlayStation.
"Why don't I see countless Nintendo fans droning on about this in these forums? Why aren't PC fans in here complaining as well? They don't seem to care anywhere near as much as the XBox fan boys do."
You obviously only see what you want to see. You keep calling people fan boys and then ask me who is primarily a PC player why you don't hear more of us speaking up... Here is a concept stop labeling people.
The whole reason this is ...
Really? Maybe because they didnt want to split the PC community up between PS4 and EVERYTHING ELSE.
"It doesn't hurt Sony, but it doesn't provide anything for them either."
But it hurts the Playstation gamer who has friends on other consoles.
Which are you a gamer or a brand? Because right now your advocating for a brand over gamers.
If it wont hurt the brand then what is the big deal?
Or you do believe it will hurt the brand which again means that Sony has gamers trapped on its platform, not beca...
You should care about it now because some of the hurdles to make this work properly have been removed. Meaning it's closer now then ever before.
