" If it wasn't for single player games there would be no online multiplayer games today unless we're talking about card games and chess and checkers but those even get boring fast. "
Says someone who obviously didnt grow up in an arcade playing multiplayer games that have nothing to do with single player games.
"Is buying a game legally and then emulating it later down the line really the worst crime?"
No its not, but that doesnt mean that the law shouldnt be enforced. If people dont like the law you change it not break it. There are a lot of laws I dont like, I dont think this author would be happy if I just started ignoring some of those laws with their property... but no one died so was it really the worst crime?
Also lets be very real here. I have ...
Its awesome that they open up the studios for children from Make-A-Wish. I work really close to a Zenimax building and I very much wish I could go tour it.
@Cobra
So that means start commenting on an article before reading it because you assume you know what its about.
The article headline does say its what Todd Howard thinks is the greatest thing. The comment is about some piece of info Eurogamer added, not Bethesda, not Todd, and somehow you are defending the comment because you think it should be about development, even if it should have been, the comment still wouldnt fit.
Did you read the article?
The story is about how they have been requested multiple times by Make-a-Wish foundation children.
It sets an even worse president when the dev still refuses to admit how bad he messed up but you forgive him anyways.
If the game were free that might be valid but you have to invest money... Maybe the risk isn't worth it to him.
Still an arrogant jackhole who learned nothing and truly believes he did nothing wrong. He's the indy Randy Pitchford to me.
Let me help you then since you seem to not understand how it works.
If 343i said "We are adding BR to Halo." And people responded with negative comments that is where "What is wrong with more options?" Comes into play.
But this is a studio saying we are not adding an option and people being upset.
I understand that the arguments sound inconsistent and in general they are on a one on one basis.
...B...
Exactly what I was thinking. If no one can do this with super computers and CG rendering, how is a dev going to be able to pull this off in engine, rendered on the physical hardware?
Just a giant exaggerated comment.
I also love how "drivers not working" are
1) Somehow MS fault the driver creator breaks something.
And keeping that in mind...
2) They want these drivers installed automaticly.
WTF are you even talking about?
Windows 10 only has two versions, home and professional, Windows server is a completely different operating system.
The only real difference between home and professional is ability to join domains and bitlocker.
So the author plays Skyrim 7 years after release and compares it to a game that released 3.5 years later because Fallout 4... Yeah that makes sense. /S
We get it, you are more a fan of The Witcher 3, that is great. But if Bethesda "Witchifies" TES I will never touch it again. They are two different types of RPG. And can exist in the same world. I don't get why people feel like they have to like every game ever made. Maybe TES just isn't for you. Just like ...
"Sorry, but I am having the hardest time supporting Xbox this generation."
Which is why they are working on the next generation already.
I am not expecting anything really new out of MS the rest of this Generation. I think they are holding off everything to try to come out of the doors swinging going into the next generation.
As an Xbox fan I dont like it, but I cant see them doing any better long term by releasing something k...
You say this like physical media doesnt present its own issues or problems.
http://www.mandatory.com/cu...
Okay and your physical games work until they break.
What is your point?
Both have pitfalls. Neither is a perfect solution.
I really hope this game is fun. It looks good, but I'm semi skeptical.

Let me introduce you to Iran after 1970's
So how much does Atari pay thegg for saying "Atari®, one of the world's most iconic consumer brands and interactive entertainment producers" over and over again in your articles?
The Atari name is tainted and nothing that it was before. They are Iconic for releasing subpar games, crypto currency, trying to get players to fund their new games, and most recently a trash concept of a console that is still baffling.
