That would be awesome! I'd play that!
I imagine so. Apparently it's extremely profitable, and it's still very popular amongst a specific demographic. It wouldn't make sense to just scrap it.
Unfortunately, that is still a problem -- but it has definitely improved. I'm not quite sure how they could make it much quicker, though. It's just a limitation of the technology.
Perhaps Sony's acquisition of Gaikai could be leveraged to improve this for PS4?
I actually think there already is a PlayStation Plus exclusive VIP lounge in Home, but it's not all that exciting. I personally think the virtual world should focus on its free-to-play nature, and invite as many members to experience its content as possible.
Perks for Plus subscribers would be nice though. Perhaps you could get access to exclusive Gold items if you're a subscriber, or something?
Hopefully people start paying more attention. I'm really impressed with some of the more recent stuff being added to the platform. Obviously, it's never going to replace the Uncharteds and God of Wars of the world -- but as a nice social distraction, I really enjoy Home.
It would be cool, but even if the 12GB PS3 cost $150, with the addition of a $250 Vita, the overall price would be too high.
Interesting. Thanks for sharing.
Actually, recent rumours have suggested that PS4 is closer to release than the next Xbox, but we'll see. Either way, the article tries to avoid discussion about next-generation, because we just don't know what's going on behind the scenes.
Absolutely, and the article mentions the threat Wii U poises in Japan with Monster Hunter. But the article also points out that PS3 is going to be very competitively priced this holiday, which may work in Sony's favour amongst shoppers this Christmas.
I'm sure they both have a base price in mind. My guess is $399.99. That seems to be the absolute limit for a new console.
Hah, it's actually not. Just a coincidence.
I'm not sure what you're issue is? Zipper Interactive were allowed to make MAG. That game was a pretty innovative idea in my eyes.
I don't understand how having one title that's targeted a different market detracts from the content that is? Would you prefer Sony's line-up if it was identical minus Wonderbook?
What's the harm in having supplementary experiences? As long as the core stuff is there (which it almost certainly is), I'm not sure what the problem is.
I'd be eager to get your feedback on why you feel that way. What did I "generalise"?
Home is really cool now in my opinion. There's so much stuff to do. Personally, it's not something I launch everyday, but I find that dipping in once a month or so results in a good couple of hours entertainment.
You can yeah. :)
Exactly. Far too many knee jerk reactions. People need to calm down and reanalyse the system in 12 months time.
Literally! :P
Virtua Tennis is really impressive. I understand it's not everyone's cup of tea, but it's one of the best looking launch titles by miles.
I don't think it's the inclusion of the game -- or, indeed, the icon -- that's causing the issue. I think most people are fine with the addition of SingStar to the XMB -- but I think it's the placement of the icon that's getting people down. For example, if you don't have a Blu-ray inserted, the PS3 defaults to showing SingStar. And it also creates a barrier between the disc and your PSN games. That is a teensy bit frustrating.
As suggested in the arti...
