"That’s good that he said that and Sony needs to learn a lesson here"
They did learn a lesson, don't fight = 3 year deal for COD, fight = 10 year deal for COD.
Imagine thinking Sony were wrong to try and stop this, to say nothing of the potential monopoly that MS are beginning to form.
"Having examples of times you proved you can be competent in your line of work"
Except those are their two most recent examples before this and I'm seeing reports of people starting TLOUP1 without waiting for the shaders to compile causing these issues.
By your own standards you should be asking MS why 343 hasn't been shuttered yet.
The same Iron Galaxy that did the recent Metroid Prime Remaster that everyone is gushing over? The same team that did Naughty Dog's other PC port, the Legacy of Thieves Collection, just a few months ago that PCGamer gave a 91 to?
Factions has a decent chance of being on PC day 1 due to the potential nature of that game, but it'd be an outlier. Let's see if Spiderman 2 comes out day 1. I doubt it.
Nixxes got Spiderman Remastered and Miles Morales on PC just a few months ago. They aren't that big, I don't think they can handle multiple AAA ports at the same time.
I didn't know RE8 VR and GT7 VR were remakes.
"bigger than the GameCube original"
I mean, probably not hard right? Didn't the GC flop?
"historically no one imo buys a Playstation because Activision"
I would say most people, the casuals, buy a PlayStation for COD and FIFA. There is a reason Sony fought against this and not Bethesda.
But Bethesda RPGs are not? Skyrim has sold north of 30m copies. Minecraft PS4 released just one month after MS acquired Mojang. They couldn't have affected that if they wanted to.
"Remember Jim Ryan is a liar but Phil has never told a lie to us gamers."
"When everyone plays, we all win."
>Pulls Starfield from PS5
>Pulls Redfall from PS5
>Likely to pull TES6 from PS5
"Xbox One X will bring high fidelity VR to Xbox consoles for the first time"
>Cancels VR support 'after' the X1X goes on sale.
"2014 will be a great year for Xb...
The 10 year deal was refused when the acquisition was still in the air, now that it's looking more likely it will go through, Sony will likely accept it. MS didn't offer 10 years to make Sony feel better, they did it to reassure the regulatory bodies that were skeptical, pulling that deal off the table now would be a red flag.
Going through was always the most likely outcome, sadly, but anyone thinking Sony were wrong to oppose it are actual morons. At the very least they went from a 3 year deal to a 10 year deal that is worth billions to Sony.
Now to see what floodgates this will open.
This guy gets it. But if you're wondering why people call TLOU Part 1 a remaster but not DS 2020 it's because of saltiness. So they can claim it's "a remaster of a remaster" to be as derogatory as possible towards it. Either for console fanboy reasons or for political anti-ND reasons.
@bloop @alwaysright @foxtrot
It's just the same recycled falsehoods over and over again for 3 years.
"Imagine if Batman forgets everything he knows and gets unceremoniously killed in the first hour by a group of the most unlikeable characters ever written."
Imagine if Joel fell asleep in front of Henry and Sam mere hours after meeting them. Imagine if Batman murdered the father of the person who killed him. Imagine if Tomm...
This man had gravitas in spades. I'll have to rewatch Fringe in his honour. I wonder if he did any work for the upcoming Horizon DLC. Will be poignant if so.
Willful ignorance. Did Sony try to stop the Bethesda acquisition? No. Why? Because Bethesda didn't have the best selling franchise, predominantly on PS, for the past 2 decades under their umbrella. Do you think MS would stand by and do nothing if Sony tried to buy Take Two, which includes Rockstar Games, for tens of billions? You'd be fine with GTA and RDR no longer coming to Xbox? Maybe you would be, that's your business. But now imagine if Jim Ryan was saying "when everyone...
"I spent most of my time climbing like a VR interactivity tech demo."
I don't understand this point. Climbing = tech demo?
There is a lot of climbing in this game, but that's what this game is and it does it very well IMO. Are we complaining that there's too much driving in GT7?
And you can speedrun RE2 in 2 hours or less. COTM took me closer to 9 hours to beat and I haven't touched challenges yet.
If it wasn't for PSVR2, I'd be a bit depressed over that.
T8's stages certainly look a lot bigger and more detailed than T7's, there's also a bunch of particle effects going on. But outside of that I'm not sure there's anything here that wouldn't run on last gen.
