Firewall Ultra and Phasmophobia in VR are going to be my most played MP games of this generation. I've pumped hundreds of hours into Zero Hour and I've looked on at PCVR in envy for years over Phasmophobia. August is some month for PSVR2.
"It's a dick move."
Nonsense. While I do want to see more hybrid games with the options like you suggest; to claim it would be a dick move for Sony/Insomniac to take full advantage of their hardware by building a game that's ground-up for VR is crazy, especially if the alternate is to let the IP rot, like Half Life would have if VR didn't give Alyx a reason to exist.

You should probably make sure it is Sony before trying to fling mud.
I hope it's more than a simple remaster.
Man, this looks pretty stunning.
"Sony only does 3rd party walking sims."
*shows them Firewall*
"NoooooooOOOOoooo VR doesn't count!"
Imagine giving Skyward Sword GOTY when Skyrim, Arkham City, Dark Souls, Dead Space 2, Gears 3, Uncharted 3, MK9 and BF3 also released that year.
"this many years"
TLOU2 was 2020
TLOU R was 2022 on new hardware while simultaneously developing their first online only title.
"PS5 will have been out 3 years in Nov and haven't heard a peep from ND. No games named, No footage, no gameplay."
TLOU Remake was made by ND.
The anti-TLOU2 brigade are relentless. The same falsehoods spread about Kojima; 'he needs someone to keep him in check'.
"TLOU2's direction split the fanbase in half"
The inclusion of certain types of characters in prominent roles is what split the fanbase in half. Before you say'No that's not true, the criticism is valid', it's the same criticism that came when the game was leaked a month early, filled with misinform...
Xbox currently being criticised for this, Sony being criticised for not showing theirs early enough. Proof you can't win.
"Convoluted: (especially of an argument, story, or sentence) extremely complex and difficult to follow."
What exactly is difficult to understand in Ragnarok?
More impressive in what ways? The octocamo alone was one of the most impressive mechanics of that gen. Then you had simultaneous gameplay and cutscenes using splitscreen. What was Gears 2 doing?
I have to give it to Xbox. Sony really fumbled the ball with the only first party stuff being shown a couple of CGI trailers for their new GaaS games and Spiderman 2 (which was solid, but dragged on too long). Phantom Blade looked cool though and RE4VR footage has me very hyped but we already knew it was coming and still no date.
MS's purchase of Starfield looks like it's going to prove to be a wise one. The game looks like a GOTY contender already. The other MS st...
"featured by Sony than Microsoft"
So this will be running on hdd on PC?
"I guess my standards for a remake is more than a little visual update"
Sadly our own beliefs and feelings don't change the definitions of words. If it was remade, it's a remake. Some struggle with the concept of there being different types of remakes.
They did it for the online tech and know-how. An area Sony have lacked in. They've publicly stated this serveral times.
Never played a game like this before, don't really get D&D either, but with all the hype and praise, maybe after a price cut I'll take a look.
