No it wasn't. Even as a huge fan of killzone 2 myself that game's gameplay was far from awesome. And somehow they made it even worse in the sequel. After I and a friend trogged through the coop campaign we immediately returned back to Killzone 2.
@Ark
You think modern Dice would ever release a title that is the equivalent of what 2142 used to be?
"There's no reasoning with gamers of today"
Considering that most gamers of today are content with paying 30 dollars for 5 crappy maps in Battlefront, I'm pleased that people are upset with this. It's a small step in the long process of these people finally becoming educated consumers and standing up for themselves.
The issue is that what they delivered is subpar to what was delivered a decade ago. You may be content with getting less quantity and quality than what you got in the past, but I sure as hell am not.
Maybe even it was in his best interest that he didn't announce it while under contract. No idea what the laws are in Tokyo, but if they have something similar to "you create it while working for us, we own it" he would have been screwed.
I'm not speaking of that. I'm speaking of the fact that a "Professional" blogger that that it would be appropriate to write a title like that. "HAHAHA WHO CAN EVEN RUN THIS"
By default it's going to be an incomplete experience per title because you know that they are cutting it into multiple pieces. You can't just claim each slice of pie feels like a full one suddenly because they have some special filling inside.
Can we discuss how unprofessional and childish the title of this "article" is?
@Tapani
A game running at 480p with frame drops into the 20s is not an artistic vision no matter how much you try to convince yourself it is.
"Greater then"
No, neither are greater than or less than the other. Just because YOU do not like turn based combat doesn't mean that bloodborn or DD's combat system is better than FF or Fire Emblems and vice versa.
I would argue that the action-rpg style that this game is using has not existed until the last decade. Off the top of my head Dot Hack is one of the few titles that used this style of action in an RPG.
I'm honestly not sure why they released anywhere near Fallout. That game has a "meme" following now. Any future Bethesda titles will be heralded despite the quality of them. Going up against them is suicide.
She's not even female link. She's a completely different character with a voice appearing in a spin off title.
"Can you really expect them to to making new Socom game right away in 2015?"
Why yes, it's been at least 4 years since the last title. I see that Sony's only interest is in "Remastering" the titles that will generate them the most amount of money, regardless of what people actually want. #4theplayers
Technically it's already on PC with Halo Online.
I would argue that 40-60 is not optimized at all.
I dunno, your short review doesn't sound too favorable to the story.
Calm down Pachter, we don't need any more arm chair industry know it alls telling companies what to do.
They're not calling anyone assholes. It's a play on the term using the "AAA" moniker for a fun contest for its users to win 100 dollars. Also
"Let's see what gaf things first"
Let's not get that cesspool involved with anything, please.
"t's a just a shame that people always have to be negative nancy's and judge this game based off "
I don't about you, but I will judge something based off of a developer's known track record. This is common sense. And Guerilla Games has a track record known for making the average Killzone series.
