They've kept up with the times. They've embraced all the DLC practices that are associated with modern gaming. Thanks for supporting that, I just love DLC! /s
Consoles aren't going to support 4k in at least the next two generations.
But graphically the game looks fine. Have you watched any of the videos?

I notice some jaggies, but the lighting is great and the game generally looks good. Not everything needs to be Uncharted levels of polygons.
@Mike
The issue is, giving away too much of the game is his excuse for not showing off features. When you advertise "Hey, you can do this this and this" in your game, you show all three of this. Not say "oh, it's a mystery, I can't show you".
>Tweaked play mechanics
There is nothing wrong with any of the older R&C games. Their gameplay mechanics easily hold up today.
"NPCs were literally shown in the"
I'm glad they finally showed off the NPCs. I'm still worried that it took them until April to show off what is supposed to be such a major feature.
"People will find each other"
He directly contradicts himself immediately with this idea. Either there is no multiplayer or there isn't. IF people are going to be getting to the center of the universe, that means they're going to be meeting up with each other there. He's clearly skirting around the issue by saying some shit about it being "too large and you won't see anyone because of this".
It's not impressive. 90% of minecraft is never visited. 90% of Elite Dangerous is never visited and that is a 1:1 simulation of our galaxy.
Clearly COD became popular because of the low frame rate.
@KurapikaKurta
"Fewer maps is BS"
From what I'm reading the game has 12 maps. The original that I played had 18. Where are these extra ones?
Other than Fuel and Overlord, what exactly has Codemasters made that would make them any sort of "match made in heaven"?
"So much as the 30 somethings'
Are you joking? The 30 somethings want nothing but rehashed games. The Pokemon Red/Blue/Green re-release sold more than Super Smash Bros did for the 3DS. That tells you people want nothing more than the same games over and over.
This is even evidenced by games like COD, Fifa, and Madden.
Didn't Super Mario Galaxy have 11 million sales? Doesn't the Wii have an insane software attachment?

Spyro and Crash are infinitely better games than most released today.
The original R&C commercials were amazing, colb.

"Video games are longer by default due to the technology"
That's not how this works. Technology didn't by default make those 2 hour indie games into 8 hours, it didn't make The Order into a longer game and it won't make Quantum Break into a longer game.
Up your Arsenal had amazing multiplayer. Up Your Arsenal was definitely the best R&C game.
It's been seven years since we last had a Rachet and Clank game. I just wish it wasn't a remake of the original.
"and yet they don't invest in good hardware"
Gamecube didn't exist?
It's understandable. Here you have a developer that feels they've "matured" to the point that they can't put in a funny caricature of one of their characters; meanwhile people are begging for them to make Crash Bandicoot again, a series that is known for cartoon humor and immaturity.
