"Constant need to upgrade CPU, GPU'
I haven't upgraded in three years and I'm participating in the Star Citizen Alpha. Running it at 60 FPS aside from the server issues which is out of my hand. That alpha is supposed to be incredibly taxing on PCs and yet I don't need to upgrade. Incredible, huh?
"Many games don't include full controller support"
And? Are flight Sims supposed to have controller support...
Because Battlefront is one of the worst games released in the last 5 years. All it has going for it are good graphics.
@hvd222
It has even less content than Battlefield 1. And what do you mean die too fast? There are games that are a decade old if not more still being played on PC. You are horribly delusional.
I would honestly argue that Mario is a symbol for gaming. Not because anything is better or has more sales. Simply because of how iconic Mario is. When people think of video games, they think of Mario. Similarly when they think of Disney, they think Mickey.
@tontontam0
Why yes. Every game that has come out that I've played has run fine at high settings. Minimum 1080 60fps. I'm even starting to do recordings now at 1080p 60 fps.
Or people who don't want to be forced into buying an upgrade console. An example: Contrary to popular belief among many small minded people on this website, frame rate and resolution do matter. I have a higher frame rate in a competitive game and I'll be performing better than you will be. I have a higher resolution and I will see what you won't see.
My three year old PC is still playing all games that come out. I've been in the Star Citizen alpha and it plays that at 60 FPS.
Unfortunately the experiences don't look too great. So far everything I've seen of VR Is glorified mini games that neither look fun nor graphically good.
The norm is five years. Last generation was a fluke, the one off. Bad economy combined with companies with huge egos. Part of the reason why Wii did so well, cheap.
Don't forget with the New Nintendo 3DS. Take Hyrule Warriors for example. No one understands why that game was released on the 3DS in the first place. It runs terribly and has half the content on screen, so your gameplay is literally affected (you cannot beat time attack challenges easily, for example).
Already a terrible decision by Nintendo, multiple times. The DSi is another example. Very few games took advantage of that hardware increase. Releasing it was pointless...
FPS resolution literally affects gameplay.
It's pretty much graphics. Developers/publishers have latched onto the idea of trying to fit as many polys as many effects as many explosions on screen as possible now. It's the reason why games are running at 900p 30 fps. Just you watch, people will be singing the praises when 1080/60 becomes the standard. Unfortunately it won't be until there are significant leaps in technology that allow this idiotic graphical craze to exist along side that performance minimum.
Third parties released some games during the beginning of the Wii U's life. The problem was they put out shitty ports that Wii U owners wouldn't touch with a mile long stick. Instead they went to the high quality Nintendo games. So what does that have to do with third parties? Third parties aren't going to make money if they don't attempt to make an effort and just throw the table scraps. Treat a consumer base like crap and they won't buy your product. So now you have legi...
Gamefreak isn't going to allow a pokemon mmo. Nor will the target audience of Japan actually care for it.
Hopefully. The lack of an ethernet port is a huge negative to the Wii U
The controls are exactly like Splatoon.
70 is well above mediocre, aka average or 50/100.
"Easy sale"
Star Fox isn't even a high selling series. What the hell are you on about? I also like how you are defending polygon in this. Their job is to literally play video games and they can't even do that? How pathetic of a human being can you get? The even sadder part is that the 10 year olds on Miiverse are saying how easy it is to get used to the controls. 10 year olds.
What games don't support the pro controller? Better yet, why are you so terrified of using the tablet controller? It's a miniature TV. Nor does it cramp the hands. I didn't want to use it at first either. Tried it out, and second nature.
The last direct which basically showed off nothing had quite a few people watching it. I think I saw total view count of several hundred thousand at least. And that was without Nintendo announcing it ahead of time. So if a company can get several hundred thousand people to tune in to their shit without announcing it ahead of time, that's pretty good.
