I enjoy long walks on the beach and butthurt Sony fans on n4g

This. Instead of ruining sequels to decent games. I don't understand how you can ruin such an easy formula as corridor horror. A Machine for Pigs was terrible.

Now they can focus on finally making some more Armored Core games.

I'm fully aware of what fair use is. But tell me, what do you think it is? A compiled list of things you can make with other people's content that means you won't get sued? Ha, no. It doesn't work like that.

@captain_slow82

If you're not making money, people will most likely not care. If you're monetizing them, you're walking a tight rope that will break any second.

Are Dualshockers so desperate they're stooping to using low quality trash such as twitter conversations to make articles?

At this point I just want a sequel to Donkey Kong 64. Without all the tedious collecting though. That was the biggest flaw of that game.

Buying a video game does not give you rights to the intellectual property that is on that disk, you are aware of this, correct? Add buy to every example I've given. I bought a copy of his youtube video, I bought a copy of his album, of his photos. I am not entitled to go about and start making money off of them now.

Fair use is an argument to be proven in court. Fair use does not cover anything. If a judge decides that what you produced is not fair use, guess what? It's not fair use. You can use your arbitrary list to try and tell him/her otherwise, that will not change a thing.

I agree, that that is a major issue with the way youtube handles copyright. Their system hurts people who are not breaking any copyright laws and are using content appropriately.

"Which is often fair use"

On the other hand, this is not the case. Many of these cases aren't fair use. I would argue that well over 90% of youtube would not be deemed fair use under any court.

Fair use is up to a court to decide. Fair use isn't up to you to decide. And no, half of these people are not falling under fair use. Even critics aren't stupid enough to use more than a specific amount of footage in their critique.

Okay, give me everything you've ever written, give me everything you've ever made a video of, give me everything you've ever recorded musically, give me every photograph you've ever taken. I'll upload them online and monetize them. Also, I won't be giving you any money. Remember, it's free advertising, isn't that enough? Aren't you happy that I'm advertising for you?

Oh, I'm sorry. Did you want some of that money I'm making of...

He figured out a way to "circumvent" it by being an asshole and using more copyrighted content? Wow. Incredibly smart man. Weren't you taught in middle school that using someone else's content as your own is not only a grounds for an immediate failure but also illegal. I guess the video games community and journalists can use the school system's grading criteria of anything below 70 = terrible, but adhering to other standards is out of the question.

How do you stall something that wasn't given a concrete announcement? What kind of logic is this?

3696d ago 3 agree0 disagreeView comment

So having to pay extra money to play half of your games isn't forcing you to do anything. Right. The same way Xbox Live wasn't forcing you to pay to play half your game either.

"at launch"

And yet the miserable 3DS is still the best performing console/handheld (I know you are going to move the goalposts to differentiate) of this generation. I'm sure a company like Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft know much better how to run their business then you or any of the backwater N4g users do. But please, tell us more. Maybe you can also armchair general and tell us how to end the wars in the middle east.

The Vita owners I'm sure feel the same exact way.

"Wii controllers were going to be a great idea for games"

Is that why Sony desperately copied them with Move, along with Microsoft? And now all VR headsets are using modified versions of the same technological idea?

Nothing wrong with "cartoony" graphics. What is wrong with the graphics is that they are just horrendous. Crap textures all over, terrible looking character models and facial expressions. I remember the first thing I saw when making it out of the vault was a hideous vine texture hanging over an equally hideously modeled house. The game is barely an upgrade over New Vegas, and with the right amount of mods you can make New Vegas look pretty damn close to the visuals that Fallout 4 is...

@DarthZoolu

Please, no. 50 Gigs? You want to know what makes games 50 gigs now a days? Uncompressed audio and crap texture streaming. Nothing in modern games is properly 50 gigs. When GTAV was first cracked the pirates were able to chop off 20 gigs worth of unnecessary data.

Because MS and Sony aren't releasing consoles capable of 4k resolution for games. They will display 4K movies at most.
