Sorry, but MS is going to move on when they feel the 360 market is saturated, or at a time when they feel it will help their overall market position. It will have more to do with the number of units they're selling, than the number of units Sony is selling.

If anyone is going to use the engine, it will be licensed. No one is just getting 'given' the engine.
The 'difficulty' in programming for the PS3 lies in unfamiliarity and having to rethink the way a problem is solved. Devs that have gotten past that have had some incredible results.
Any developer, regardless of party position, will be licensing this engine, that is, paying a fee and signing a contract on it's use.
It's much like Epic and licensing the Unreal Engine. No one steals it and uses it. The terms of it's use will be stipulated in the licensing contract.

I've found that as well. I'm in Pennsylvania and the employees at the two stores in my area are cool. The managers at both stores are decent guys, and it sets the basic attitude for the stores. One manager is pro 360, but he's not anti PS3. I have no problem doing business at either location.
