Hale dies in the end of R2. The Chimera remain dormant for 50 years or so. Fast forward to 20?? and the Chimera resurface. Now they're facing a 21st century army and weapons rather than a 1950's army and weapons. If this article is true, this is the way I see it happening. It has the same gameplay with modern weaponry. Sounds like it could be cool, actually.
