I like Frank better anyway!
It is too bad when Brotherhood was done so well. Too many ingredients in the soup?
Where's the collector's edition?
It's odd they chose that level for the demo too...not exactly the best I'm betting.
This is true in my experience. MW3 is more of a film...there's so much hand-holding: stand here on the plane, hurry up and go there, shoot that guy, get down in the grass.
No choice. But it has great pacing.
A lot of games get that wrong and you end up noticing all the defects.
The only problem I have with the series are the long convoluted cut scenes. MGS4 is still my fav though
Yes the childishness of it was annoying and it did start at least entertainingly but got more and more dull as it went on.
It is surprising though with the violence, Suda, and the swearing and sex humour that it DIDN'T sell better! It seems that these are perfect sales points these days...
The Darkness was really a game that had me more intersted in the narrative than even the gameplay.
The second one doesn't look nearly as interesting from what I've seen.
I think people sometimes forget that GRAW was the first 'modern warfare' game this gen.
Ooo that's harsh. But I get the feeling too that it is like a movie where you really don't do that much, but are propelled forward through enclosed space with little choices, and just shooting.
Spec Ops does rule though
I love the fact you can just hit a button and you are playing the original, seeing the difference.
But how many copies will they sell when there are so many awesome new games being released now?
Yet you are here?
I've seen fanboys of all sorts on here. On one hand I'd like to get rid of all single platform fanboys and just keep multi plat fans, but on the other I recognize how fanboyism shows a passion for gaming and certainly makes for some amusing reading.
See my comment above. If you even look at the steal it section from when they were 360 site you'd notice some pretty high scores there for PS3 games. Oh and Wii and PC.
My understanding is that they went multi plat sometime last year?
I personally think a lot of it comes to style preference. I know I'm going to enjoy Uncharted 3 more than Gears because one is more of a fun Indiana Jones type romp while the other is another 'save the world from u...
Daz, well said. I still remember when they were an Indie Xbox site they gave their first 10 I think to MGS4 and PS3 fanboys complained they shouldn't be reviewing PS3 games, and 360 fanboys said they were secretly a PS3 site!
Now they are multi plat and they still get this sort of comment.
So are you saying that the single player is as good as, say, the awesome Bad Company 2 one?
Mummies!!!! That would be a change at least, but the principle is the same....Horde mode.
I'm over zombies too actually.
Imagine it being used in multi though! Carnage!
I'm glad that they are using as historically correct a platform as possible for the series.
It is impossible to do it perfectly, but it really does make the whole 'feel' special.
Yeah I know some say "it shouldn't bother with single player it has always been about the multi", but I'm happy they put it in.
They probably should have taken longer with it and made sure both modes were great though.
Zombie Templar Horde mode!!!! What an idea!
If World At War, based on history, can do it...lol.
I agree though, the fist game might have had repetitive missions, but it did have an excellent sandbox with a focused story.
I wasn't taken with the first one like everyone else for some reason, but this open-world version does look amazing.
There definitely are differences in how architecture is used in games: some like COD use it for visuals only, while others like Assassin's Creed and Infamous use it as an essential part of the gameplay.
