I enjoyed this one on console, even though it isn't AAA.

Old fashioned co-op fun.

I heard rumours I thought that Diablo was coming to a console? Has it been canned? I'd love to play this on console :)

I really like the Piazza one, especially with Juggernaughts (sp) but then I like close quarter combat, so Seatown is my favourite.

I never played Final Fantasy VII, but both Rapture and Damascus are masterpieces of gaming architecture. Great choices!

I enjoy those way more than the destroyed post-apocalyptic dull grey and browns lately.

Also, the American colonists wanted to push past the mountains west into indian territory...to take the land. The Brits didn't want them to.

So the British were more on the native populations' side: that doesn't sound like the 13 Colonies would be the typical 'assassin'-types then despite all that 'freedom' stuff.

Apparently they will still be using blu ray (according to the same report)

Okay, but a lot of people recycle their games in order to be able to play more games.

This could mean less games bought.

This would only work if there were still new copies sold. Game stores would close if they couldn't make profit off used games as they don't make much out of new stuff.

If we had a DLC only console like the PSP GO was, where you had retail copies for the PSP 3000 cheaper than the DLC version, then prices won't be good. I don't trust in a downloadable only future for games as prices won't be competitive anymore.

Okay but do you think getting rid of cheaper games will help or make worse the situation with piracy?

I think it will make it worse.

Also if retailers like Gamestop (or online) can't make profit on some aspect of gaming (since they don't make anything much out of new stuff) they won't be able to exist. If they don't exist there is less competition beating down prices.

Just think of a PSP GO or Apple iPod situation where you...

Yeah this isn't so new:

You are on the money!!!! Totally agree with you!

Irreverant spy fun is much needed right now and a new Cate Archer adventure would see me part with cash for sure!

I rely on selling or trading my used games to buy new ones, so if they want to do this, fine, but I won't be able to buy as many new releases.

I was really surprised with the first one, and loved the story, but this one hasn't grabbed me. What do you think?

5246d ago 2 agree1 disagreeView comment

I really think that these days devs will struggle to sell games based on pure stealth. I often hear complaints about 'stealth' sections of games, and that isn't even a whole game.

Yet making a stealth franchise all action oriented makes the game almost industinguishable from all the others.

The answer is what MGS4 did. You could try and play it COD style, but there were open enough environments to find other sneakier ways around it and not die...

I'm with you.

I don't know, I used to love Halo, but I seem to be losing interest in it. Microsoft seems to be putting way too many eggs in the sci fi shooter basket.
