That's a huge plus if they can run on older systems and still look good
This looks so good and I'd love to go back to WW2 if they do different battlefields than Normandy, Holland, and Russia!
Also I only play shooters on consoles as my PC sucks, and this looks to be PC only.
Too bad: missed opportunity on both counts.
This really looks like a lot of fun, and the bonus exercise should be advertised!
Looks like they realised that and edited it to show that the next title is likely Retribution...
Damn...it looks great, but it's not on consoles!!
All we get is Modern Warfare stuff now. Where's the WW2 love anymore :(
Unless you count BIA: Furious Four...which I'm not sure I do.
With Betas these days the multi is often pre-playable, so I'm hoping more of the single player stuff is playable there.
Uncharted 3 and AC: Revelations, not to mention Batman Arkham City. Too many games again this end of year!
This game does have that 'Limbo' look, but not sure it has the same character.
Pretty low score though.
I can't really say I've been excited by what I've seen of this game. It seems to lack character or something. But this article gives me a bit of food for thought.
I loved those games!
Yeah these events seem to take a lot out of people...they need to plan an extra several days just to get the images swimming around their brains out and some rest!
Shadows of The Damned has sort of done this hell on earth concept already. Not sure we need another Doom. Dead Space has taken over the hell in space area too.
Not sure about iD these days...not so excited about their latest stuff.
As with a lot of XBLA titles, it looks a bit strange, but also like lots of fun!
A new IP won't sell the system until it has proven itself. So going with COD, Killzone, Uncharted, LBP etc. is a good idea.
But you're right...they do need new IPs and not just PS Vita versions of PS3 games.
@ junkins
It's not that they are going toward hardcore: they have always focused on them (look at PSP). The minis weren't enough to get people off ipods.
Sony is going for total entertainment but keeping core 'real' games as their starting point, which is good sense. They aren't going to suddenly beat Android and iPod.
Yeah ironically my son did too! I bet the trade in price has dropped a lot!
I wouldn't say the PS Vita is going for simplicity though...they seem to be going more for hardcore gamers. They do seem to be going for multi function, but not at the expense of a focus on games
Games that are not really simple like apps are
I totally agree. Sony is focusing on core gamers, not on casuals and Mario fans.
We need a strong Nintendo. Hopefully they bounce back soon. But they need to get 3rd party devs and not just rely on Mario and friends.
Interesting assessment of the Quakecon. Not for me (especially since it is in another country :) )
