What are you talking about, 9 out of 10 times people will be praising XBOX 360 and XBOX Live than anything PlayStation. When talking about multiplatform video games, it gets worse.
If you want to talk about bias fanatics, bias xbox players tend to use something I like to call "reality assumptions," bias nintendo players tend to use something I call "inductive generalization," and bias playstation players tend to use somethin...
In generally when I ask people who play games on the phone only and I say, "Microsoft's console just released the new Halo game," the response is usually, "Microsoft has a gaming console?" They know about the xbox 360 but didn't know it belongs to Microsoft, while if I say something about Sony it's more common for people to think that they have a gaming console.
I think branding isn't an issue and it's more on working on a better image....
I hate to say this, but I think their kind of games won't sell well on a Microsoft consoles. I think it would sell on a Nintendo console, if it had more power to do with what they want. Games that sell on Microsoft's console is Halo, Gears of War, and multiplatform action games.
Games like Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts which is similar to Little Big Planet have more of a market on Nintendo / Sony platforms than Microsoft's. Too Human had better quality than Soc...
The thing with PlayStation Home many people expected it to be a game, when it's just a place to be social with people who have PlayStation Network.
I just hope they improve on the concept because unlike Xbox Avatar's the PlayStation Avatars actually have a purpose. I would like to see more interaction with real world events to some degree. Most of all I think it's a way for Sony get money from other stakeholders besides consumers.

The reason why multi-platform games looked similar because that's the goal. When making a game on multiple platforms developers want to meet at a common-denominator and the only difference if any is usually a programming problem not a hardware problem.
It would be like trying to pour the same amount of water is two different sized glasses, without measuring how much is being poured. My point in-case is that if the multi-platform games look mor...

You mean the Xbox controller was just a bigger PlaySation controller, PlayStation was out longer. You don't say a child's parents looks like the child, you say the child looks like the parents. As with that comment all together, I don't see how the new DualShock controller - subject to change - looks like an xbox controller.
People will just have to realize it wasn't a launch nor a reveal, it was an announcement. Using an analogy a network station telling the audience a new show is coming on this network (announcement) as appose to seeing the actual episode when it airs (reveal). All the announcement should have done was confirm that there is a PS4 and a little of what it can do.
E3 is where people/companies reveal things in its entirety, and would be a good thing too. It would suck if the a...

That was kind of the point, Xbox Live was considered better because it was designed to be more social across all video games as appose the PSN. Now that the PSN has built-in social features instead of relaying on the video games to create that social experience, Sony has it on all fronts.
The new PlayStation Eye looks like it can play Kinect like video games, the PlayStation Move Wii like video games, and now the controller in tandum with the ey...
They said the technology is so advanced that people will be able to play previous platform games on computers. So not using the PS4 because of no internet, a person could basically go to an online cafe or something. So anyone posting comments on here, most likely have Internet or using an Internet connection somewhere.

Multiplatform games make an impact but like the comment before me stated, exclusives separate companies from the competitor by creating incentives. Why would I go to a platform that has the same games as all the others but no exclusives?
You even mentioned it yourself, exclusive content / timed-exclusive. The difference between the multiplatform exclusive content versus an exclusive game is that the experience is only on one platform. It'...
What Fox News is like for the mainstream media, Kotaku is the equivalent in the gaming community.
lol, so basically you'll be spending ~$300.00 which is over the Vita price point.
If true then music might be standard on blu-ray discs like the Metal Gear Solid 4 Soundtrack was on.

Well they have background processes going on, but time will tell whether it works smoothly or not. Either way it's still a buy for me because of the amazing features it has with assuming still free online.

The Xbox Live subscription is a special outlet with a separate electricity bill doing the exact same thing as the original outlet. So the device is powered by two outlets doing the same thing, lol.
I wonder if people will complain if they change the character design to not have hair, will people be in an uproar because initially the character had hair, lol?
Or in Devil May Cry's case, changing the hair colour for the origin story.
You are probably the type of person that asks for something over and over until you get it, then lose interest.
Based on what is known Sony at this moment in time has the best console that has the most potential. E3 is where people usually play the console after seeing it, so it is natural to think they won't put all their eggs in one basket.
What is the point when all the controllers are virtually the same?
As of right now, nothing on the Wii U made me want to go out and get one. I understand the Wii U is more powerful than the current generation systems (PS3, XBOX 360, Wii), but what they offer does not appeal to me. When I saw the PS4 graphics it looked like they were playing in CGI quality, on top of that streaming live to your friends and even taking over a game while they watch you play, blows my mind.
I reply my games whether they have trophies or achievements, as a gamer I naturally do this. The reward system just acts as proof or a boosting tool to show off.
