Sony has more franchises than Microsoft yes titan fall looked good but the games that Mircrosoft showed that tries to do something more were multiplatforms projects. The exclusives didn't bring nothing new to their genres which was action shooter, whicle the new snake game looks to expand the genre.

Microsoft's problem is that they are treating physical copies of video games as if they are digital. What i find funny is that they want consumers to get use to a digital transition when what Sony is providing is actually a better transition.

Since the added feature for PS4 with PS+ is playing online, a person would not have to buy a single game and be renting digital copies of video games each month. Things like Netflix is popular because it's a subscription rental s...

That's more of a company issue than a consumer issue unless you are talking about the network than all companies can be potientially hit?

Modded videos games or consoles have no resale value unless sold to someone that's naive.

I say it lost half the battle, right now Sony's business model allows more freedom than Mircrosoft's but sales will determine who's more popular.

I say the PS3 is better than the XBOX 360 but there will be more coverage on popular systems so many people would dissagree with that statement. From looking at the price point i can see more people blindly buying the PS4 than the XBOX ONE.

On the PS3 the remote play had to be intergrated by developers and i think the developers were spending so much time getting code to run they didn't bother. As with the PS4 the remote play is intergrated into the opertating system, so without developers help you can use remote play.

The only thing that will hold it back is whether it's playable on the Vita, meaning can the control scheme be mapped to Vita controls. From the looks of it there might be a default mappin...

I would rather pay for online than to have DRM restrictions like Microsoft. Paying this time around has more value than just online, so it's more on the expression of the idea than the idea itself.

Sony tends to under price their products to make up for it in video game sales. I'm just hoping they will match Microsoft's price point or outmatch it.

The price doesn't bother me, as with the games I find that nothing in the presentation was pushing boundaries besides multiplatform titles. The new Snake game is introducing an opened world stealth game, something a little more fresh.

If they showed off their most ambitious titles, that are exclusives I don't mind buying a PS4 over an XBOX ONE. It looks like I'll be sticking with Sony this generation as well, since it looks like the best XBOX ONE games will be mul...

That's ridiculous, if anyone is to blame about creativity it's us consumers that won't buy anything different. Games that actually do something different struggle with sales, while video games that play it safe make millions.

People want to play the same game over again, rather than playing something new and this applies to all genres. When a developer wants to take an IP and do something new with it, people hate it and it's not...

The only reason why the Wii was so popular because of its low price, if a company tries to get causal gaming first all the bells and whistles must be stripped. If a company goes hardcore first, the casual audience can come in latter in the console's cycle.

On top of that, causal gamers generally don't follow gaming, so this can hinder video game sales. The Wii sold the most consoles, but had about the same or less video game sales as apposed to the number of consoles ...

Yes I was disappointing in the reveal, but turned off by their business model. I understand that a company needs to make money, but at the same time if something else is out there the provides the same or similar service with a lot less heartache, I'm going the other direction. DRM isn't my problem, it's how it's being handled on the consoles as appose to computer video games.

Are you serious, what do you think "cross game chat" is? What do you think Halo 4's "theater mode" is? Lastly what do you think Xbox Live's "party mode" is?

PSN for many years was considered behind in the online space because PSN didn't have unified social features like Xbox Live, developers would have to implement them through their games.

Having a screen sharing feature while your PSN ...

You failed to miss the point, if you take in the whole comment, I also stated if you want to take full advantage of the better processors buy an Xbox 360 or PS3. I also stated if you want blu-ray, buy a PS3 so the generation isn't held back if something else out that is taking advantage of better technology.

In the end, my point was buy the technology with the tech you want to take advantage of.

For example the smart phone...

Your comment would be a perfect example of someone being a bias fanatic, so instead of buying it on the PS3 to enjoy it, you would rather wait for it to possibly hit other platforms in the next generation?

For the fact the Cell speaks a completely different language than any other platform - that most developers found difficult - they would have to rewrite the whole code just to make it possible.

Microsoft didn't hold back this generation, if you want the full advantage of blu-ray, get a PS3.

Did the Wii hold back this generation too since the Wii cannot produce the same kind of graphics as the Xbox 360 / PS3? You just buy an Xbox 360 or PS3 if you want the full advantage of the better processors.

The point is to get people to buy the game on a specific platform, this is more on Sony's part than on the developer's.

Exclusive content whether it be a game, avatar, or feature is what will separate a company from the competitor's. It creates incentives to pick one over the other, so no exclusivity on anything isn't bull shit.

If Halo, Gears of War, or Forza franchises were on all platforms do you think Xbox 360 would be as popular?

The person who wrote this article, I don't think they know much about video game genres.

Why was Sony wrong for not telling people about the price tag and official release date at the beginning of 2013 if they could just easily tell everyone at E3?

All Sony did was tell people that the PS4 is real, here is a taste of what it can do, and what it will do, just about what an announcement should be like.

The game's graphics does not equal a good game, but the better the graphics the better the possibilities.

I agree with you completely, I understand the frustration of trying to own a game digitally that is up for grabs for PS+ subscribers when being a member blocks that purchase. The purchase while being a member would defeat the purpose of the subscription.

It's like being a member to a gym to get access to the gym equipment than trying to buy the gym equipment from the fitness club. The whole point of being a member is so that you come f...
