It's hard to believe Microsoft when they say they are confident with the price point after mimicing policies and boost speed to match Sony's console. Not only does it look bad, you are actually showing implicitly that they are the better company, while Sony stuck to their guns with the PS3 in a similar situation.
Don't get me wrong having games run at 1080p at 60 FPS is nice but if a game doesn't it is not going to deter me from a purchase. If the game still runs smoothly, has good design, and has asthetically pleasing graphics it won't phase me.
For the fact the article is mentioning that Microsoft is being more like the PS4 should ring some bells of who's business model is better. As with the Kinect argument if the technology was perfected having a complete buttonles...
I meant to say, the current state of the market," lol.
I think I understand what the author is trying to say but repeats themselves over and over without actually explaining anything. The best way I can put it is that it's most likely customer inertia, but I think this has nothing to do with Microsoft losing market share.
First it's the way Microsoft handled a digital only environment, because there are other models out there that wasn't so restrictive. Secondly listening to your consumers isn't a bad thing, it...
It's funny how that Microsoft is the more expensive console this time talking about entertainment features while with the eight generation it was the other way around with less people in Sony's camp. Hell even Fox News interviewed Sony basically telling them that they are doomed.
Reason #4
This is mainly talking about poor programming than actual poor hardware, and it has been stated many times developers found it difficult to program for the PS3. The...
Not having a headset isn't a big of a deal, I say the problem relies in a proprietary headsets, because the PS3 allowed computer headsets to be used as well as Sony in-house headsets.
The thing i didn't like about Turn 10's instalment of Forza is the rewind feature it defeats the purpose of playing, and a player should not withhold themselves from features to make the game challenging. The only limit it had i think was the 30 seconds right after use would be disabled, but the core aspect of a racer is to not mess up on the track. It would be like having god mode as a constant power up in a first person shooter and still earn achievements.
The game ...
But if you are talking about exclusives then bringing in platforms in the discussion is the core of it. Titanfall is not an XBOX ONE exclusive but it mentioned everywhere as an exclusive, but games like Planetside 2 is never mentioned as an exclusive for the PS4.
If you do it to one side, then stay consistent, if not stay consistent. When I see it, it just looks as if the person is just looking at scraps to make another platform appear to have more exclusives than it really ...
Games like "Cry of Fear" if it had more money and developers / designers I can see the game being number one for horror.
Technically speaking an exclusive means that you would have to buy a specific piece of hardware to play a particular game, and if it's on multiple platforms it's not an exclusive.
As appose to things like PSV, 3DS, Wii U, and PlayStation if they are only on branded platforms that technically they can be called brand exclusives. As with the the PC the platform isn't governed by any company, so they can't really be brand exclusive with PC / XBOX hence the existe...
If you bought the first generation XBOX 360's then your XBOX 360 doesn't have an HDMI port, that sucks.
Some of the things listed here are already being done on the PS3 like organizing your content.
I find it funny when people talk about anything XBOX they mention titles that are PC and XBOX only as exclusives but you never hear it the other way around with PC and PlayStation only, like DC Online or Planetside 2.
Why is that, I'm just noticing that with journalists and users a like?
So you are saying unlimited access to digital video games through a subscription is worse than unlimited storage through a subscription?
You do realize if you have unlimited access to digital games storage isn't a problem since you can download it again?
This is good but for games at least this won't make much of a difference since every profile has a download history for digital games to redownload, but for game saves it's a major plus as a backup download meaning no streaming the content.
The problem with the PSP people saw it as a portable PS2 when in reality is was more like a PS control scheme with PS2 like graphics. As apposed to the PSV it's in its own league but with graphics between PS2 & PS3 combining sixth generation gaming controls & up with smart phone controls.
The perception of how people saw PSP is what PSV is today, so developers don't have to think backwards when developing a control scheme.
What you are saying is true, when using the word "goal" it's future tense meaning what they eventually want to do. I find it odd people don't understand your comment, when it's logical.
My statement stems from the fact they introduced the XBOX ONE as the future of gaming by being an all digital device and now closer to launch date they are more like Sony's business model with the PS4.
Some of the things you mentioned are in demand by the gamers and wasn't so much part of their business model like trophies or voice cross gane chat (text cross game chat they already have). A good example of a change in Sony's business model would be the PS+ require...
I don't agree with many of the things on the list, but how is eliminating holding your breath for steady aim a bad thing? Don't get me wrong Halo is a good game but the sniper rifle is used as a golden gun because it's so easy to aim with.
I've never had a problem with the R2/L2 my guess is because the Dual Shock's buttons are pressure sensitive so for racing games i like using the cross button for acceleration. As with action games like shooters, they do not require the player to press hard so it was either i was pressing to shoot or not, no in between setting.
They can't even throw you a bone, I understand a company wants to create incentives for subscriptions but the DVR feature should be free. What's next, messaging on XBOX is retricted to Live members only?
