Thanks for the compliment.

I understand that SWTOR is not going to be the Jesus of the MMO genre, but to say that SWTOR has no innovation, it is over-hyped, and it is just WoW in a Star Wars skin is a serious diservice to what SWTOR brings to the table.

In terms of mechanics, yeah, SWTOR does not innovate and it IS a WoW in SW skin. However in terms of the broader perspective, the emphasis of story + fully voice overs = MMO innovation in terms of how people a...

I have to respectfully disagree.

Red Dead Redemption was just one game and yet I had a STRONG emotional attachment to John Marston.

Because the audience is a true example of internet personalities.

Those same people cheering would probably be the same people here on the internet bashing MW3 and praising BF3. However, because Activision invited them to this special event, they feel that they must "show appreciation" for them so instead of booing, they cheer.

Mind you, a great majority of the people in the audience were people from the media so that should go to tell you somethin...

I still believe us male gamers generally exaggerate the performances of female voice actors in comparison to male voice acters. Another example would be the attention that Claudia Black gets.

I believe the reason why people "over hype" her ME Female Shepard performance is because the Male Shepard performance is just SO bad, boring, and sometimes monotone. So when you compare that to Jennifer Hale's take on Shepard, you can see where she did a better job but even Female Shepard is a bit stale at times.

But then again this is videogames and male gamers generally give more positive attention to women who are related to videogames and in this case, it i...

Who cares what ME2, GTAIV, or MW2 sold on their first weeks. Those games are "mainstream" games aimed at casual players.

DE:HR while can also be liked by a casual gamer is mainly a game geared specifically to a specific type of player and yet it still sold 600K first week which is not bad numbers. By Christmas, DE:HR could be a 2 million unit selling game or at least close.

*****Looks at Bioware*****

See, you CAN have a game with deep RPG elements and STILL sell well.

Congrats to Eidos Montreal for not falling into the "Streamline everything" trend that many developers are falling into.

So I guess they will finally start their Mass Effect FPS that they have been itching to do since ME2 because supposedly, according to Bioware, RPGs are becoming "less relevant" today and all everyone wants to do is play shooters that are extremely streamlined.....

Is it just me, or does Female Shepard look like a 16 year old girl?

From my understanding, Shepard during ME3 is around 33 years old yet the female model looks like a high school girl.....

I disagree.

You mention that it is more anticipated that SWTOR because the COD Fan base is larger? So you're saying that the Call of Duty fanbase is larger than the entire Star Wars fanbase?

Secondly, you say that SWTOR is just a genre MMO in Star Wars skin but you fail to mention that it is the FIRST EVER fully voiced MMO in which ALL 8 classes have their own unique and personal stories, almost 8 games in 1 if you want to look at it that way. Besides, do...

Unfortunately the industry does not believe a black female is "worthy" enough to be a lead female character.

If you look at the original 6 Shepards we had to chose from, only 1 of them could have passed as an African-American female while the rest were more so Caucasian.

Welcome to the 21st Century I guess....

Personally, I am glad that I am able to create my own Shepard because I am tired of playing as white women and white men in...

Bioware has made it clear that they no longer want to be in the RPG making industry cause as they put it, it is becoming "less relevant".

Geez people, I didn't know gamers could be such tight azzes. I mean seriously....

Okay, two major publishers are going back and forth over a FPS war this fall, BIG DEAL! Personally, I do not see a problem with it and in fact, I sort of like it. It really gives some spice to the industry and really shows that these powerhouse publishers care and have passion for their product succeeding. So far everything said was in terms of business and business only. I can understand if...

I agree, I mean people talk about how this is just good sportsmanship? BS!

These people are trying to sell a product made by the company who is employing them. Their loyalties and goals is to promote THEIR game to the best of their abilities or else they do not get paid. Why in this world would they go out of their way [On Twitter] to essentially promote their competitor's product?

That like a GM Salesman going over to the Ford lot to test drive the Musta...

How is it politics?

The proper term wouldbe business. This is a business and any a very tough one. EA is trying to literally take money out of Activision's pocket and Activision is trying to do the same.

The fact that they did sit down and play the game together AND went on twitter aftwards to kiss each other's butt WAS politics because they are trying to create this picture that in the end, they are just gamers/friends. However really they are tr...

I understand that the Jets will only be in Conquest and not Rush or even Team Deathmatch. My whole article was from the perspective of Conquest.

If you actually payed attention to what I wrote, I mentioned "Capturing Control Ponits" and "Defending Control Points" there was even a part in the article where I specifically mentioned Conquest.

It looks like you have no idea of what you're talking about.

Thank you!

In a general sense, Mass Effect and by extension, Mass Effect 3 are great games and probably overall better than DE:HR when you add in graphics, cinematics, story, characters etc....

However when you narrow it down to JUST the RPG elements, this is where Deus Ex: Human Revolution will outshine ME2 and possibly ME3.

Bioware was trying to soley focus on the shooter audience with ME2 while Eidos Montreal is focusing o BOTH the Shooter...

I never said that DE: HR will be a better game than ME2 or even ME3, I am just saying that it is on pace to implement RPG elements better than ME2 which had very sparse RPG elements in favor of a much more defined shooter experience.
